which were apparently overloaded with demand, in part because of the big Steam holiday sale
i wonder if they made much more profit when the game was on extreme sale than they did when it was at its usual price? or did the low price remove large gains? any way of finding out?

$32 million gone? when it could have been paid to hard working game programmers? if they paid $5000 a month to game developers, they could have 266 designers/writes/programmers work on something or many things for 2 years.

You don't have to run the game with PhysX. You can turn it off and get a nice healthy FPS boost.
you can also disable shadows, textures, and run in it 640x480 for a nice healthy FPS boost.

Just like any kind of censorship is wrong. People have a right to see, and a right to know.

21. gamezone PC review Jul 6, 2008, 08:17 rocketpcguy

according to a gamezone review, halo 2 for the PC has
some of the finest visuals out there, and explains why you need a very hot PC and graphics card. ... Even two years later the game is easily one of the most exciting experiences in the gaming world. The online play upgrades and new fancy look will please even the staunchiest of PC elite players.
http://pc.gamezone.com/gzreviews/r20880.htm

but then, it's the same site that gave higher scores to Halo 2 & Doom 3 than to Deus Ex.

1. PhysX layer running on AMD Radeon 3870, Jun 30, 2008, 08:01 rocketpcguy

i don't understand; nvidia spent a lot of money buying PhysX. don't they have control over its IP? what use was it to buy it if ATI cards can have the same benefits?
wouldn't they sue the distributor of this; and if so why did the original author bother?

1. ASUS Eee PC 1000H Laptop Jun 23, 2008, 04:58 rocketpcguy

... this is an all-black leather mistress with her whips and chains, and it took a great deal of coaxing to calm her out of her plastic glossy black briefs. ...
While attempting the first layer, I was held back by a few screws, so getting out my trusty tool (that renowned screwdriver) I finally entered.
After getting her top off, I had a chance to ogle these goodies below. ... I began to think I had hit a home run when I got the black kit off. Unfortunately I was sadly mistaken as she wanted a lot more foreplay. ...
All that remained was to see the secret numbers tattooed on her CPU to really get my engine racing. Clearly she was worried modestly, as any decently seduced piece of hardware should be. The last piece of fabric separating me from my goal was so skimpy and tightly clad around her form, I had to take at least 5 minutes to get it off in one piece. To be so near the goal and tantalized by such a skimpy heatpad had me drooling like a teenager... The bottom half is always more fun when you strip it, but the top half when stripped had some fetching surprises too.

...

8. tab extensions Jun 18, 2008, 04:49 rocketpcguy

don't you guys use Tab Mix Plus or something like it in firefox 2? my browsing experience is MUCH better with that, (esp. opening tabs to the right of the current).

however, tab mix plus doesn't work with firefox 3, so i'm on the lookout for another tab enhancing extension.

I'm extremely proud to have this game up and running on Xbox and PS3 unchanged.

so for standard PC resolutions, it doesn't make any use of the latest graphic cards or more RAM?
