I wouldn't play this horribly outdated game if they paid me, which they should considering the in-game ads.

It's not that far-fletched. I heard that they already completed the coding for the Atari 2600 10 years ago, so it's just an update from that.

I'm surprised to see all the positive comments on the game here. I've been playing since closed beta 2, and I don't find the game that addictive or terribly fun. The combat is just a button mash, with none of classes really standing out as distinctive, and there's nothing here that I can't find in WoW, with better implementation. One of the things I find that WoW has done really well is the skill/talent system, and I find that new skills in LotRO are more of the same for pretty much all classes. I just don't care about advancing because it just doesn't get more interesting after level 6.
Average MMORPG IMO.

I expected so much more out of this game. I thought that they would move from obscure developer to Class A, kicking Bethesda's ass sort of developer. I guess I was wrong. I guess I can still look forward to Bioshock and NWN2.
