Note: enforcement of the 250GB data consumption threshold is currently suspended. Oh nice. Enjoy it while it lasts. |

Atari's Greatest Hits on the iTunes App Store. 100 games for free Unless something specifically changed in the app for their anniversary, the app used to be free, but you had to buy the roms...will have to check tonight.
Ah, here we go, from /.
I downloaded it a few hours ago. Got a screen that said "It's our anniversary, all 100 games are free until you delete the game from your device". I've downloaded 6 different games so far and there weren't any in-app purchases involved. If you've already got the game I imagine you need to delete it and re-download. So they're free until you delete them...
Can't even do backups? |

So the guy made money by hosting servers. Big fucking deal. Pirates who eat crumbs out of Hollywoods silver platter should be burned at the stake. Ok great. Lets go and burn some more witches again. At least they made pacts with the devil... And slowly but surely this world is turning into a fucking police state, using the most unlikely of tools to shut people up, copyright law.
There's a reason the Pirate Party is now close to being the fourth biggest party in Germany, fifth in Austria and so on. Young people are tired old, antiquated dinosaurs ruling the world with draconian fists.
Anyone who wanted for Kim to be arrested using these terrible tactics that the US tried to employ here is part of the problem. We need to get off Earth! |

Who ever said 'they let the gnomes and night elves into the game' needs to do a bit more research. They have a similarity but are much cooler races with a lot more lore and detail behind them. Sylvari for one can be vicious sobs (nightmare court) and the Asura are snarky little megalomaniacs.
I'm planning on playing a Sylvari come launch so I probably won't play one in BWE3, though I might make a character just to get an idea of the options and to settle how I want my 'main' to look. I will definitely play some Asura content, probably about as much as I have played Norn or Charr starting areas (around 25% and 50% respectively).
Cant wait for BWE3 and one month later, release at long last! Oooh, I will have to find one. I haven't been on BN since the 25th. Isn't that sad? :~( |

Verno wrote on Jun 25, 2012, 08:54: BF3 requires Origin. I just wrote a script to kill Origin after the BF3 process dies. Oh nice! Can you do that with Steam too? I'm sure you could, since that's functionally equivalent to hitting EXIT on steam after you finish playing your game (at least that's how I read the comment about the BF3 process). Ah, I was talking exiting Steam/Origin when playing the games. |

Ant wrote on Jun 23, 2012, 14:50: Can BF3 and other games still be played without Origin yet? Last I looked into it, it varied by game. I think in almost all cases you still must have an EA/Origin account, but some games you don't have to actually run origin. Is there a list of games that do require and not require Origin? What about BF3? |

As a consumer I want to know which product suits my needs better, and I had no luck figuring it out. No kidding.
