It didn't suck...it just wasn't as awesome as the NOLF games. It was pretty vanilla. And buggy.

Ah, sorry again, what I meant to write was that I never played it in multiplayer but I did actually play the game. I remember that this was the game I bought my only joystick for, which I still have. Unfortunately it is collecting dust at the moment but I've been eyeying a Saitek X 52 althought I am not really sure what I would use it for.

At least I think I played this game. This was the one were you piloted this YT-1300 or something, correct?

Maybe it is still around? Have not played JO in many years. It was really great fun back then.
And in 2002/2003 I also only had a 56k modem and multiplayer was still great although people tended to kick me from the server for having a 300/400 ms ping.

Oh god I wish I could remember, this was years and years ago (well, obviously...if Compuserve was around). It was a well reasoned, calm response if I remember correctly. It was probably pretty clear from my post that I was a kid.

I remember when I was a young kid, he wrote a nasty review of Ace Ventura or the sequel (which weren't exactly fine cinema). I took to the Compuserve forums (I think he sponsored one specifically for his reviews or feedback) and left a huge, all-caps tirade about how his review was unfair.

Anyway the thread blew up into a huge, multi-page disaster, mostly full of people complaining that I was "yelling" ...which I didn't understand at the time. To his credit, he actually did respond to my screaming 12-or-something-year-old self. God knows I wouldn't have responded to me.
