| Maybe they should have abandon it before it was released - I'm thinking this game is worse than 'less than successful', I'm thinking it's been damaging to them. |

WTF Tumbler???
Was hoping amazon would have $10 off or something, was ready to spend money and now I'm feeling like they're being greedy not offering better incentives.
You where ready to spend money? but they are being greedy? You where not ready to spend money, you lie, you where hoping to not spend very much money and that is why you feel they are being greedy, you want more incentive to spend your money other than what looks to be (I'll wait till I play the demo which will be out about same time a retail) a good game?
Looks to me as thought you think all games should be $1
Paying a $1 for games anit gonna lead to a healthy industry.
Best of luck getting it for what you believe it is worth.

I thought we where talking about Pirates! because it was another Sid Meier game?
(and Hellbender is just preaching, not talking about anything other than how we are all degenarates, which you would already know see as you where keeping notes at our last 'EVIL BASTARDS' meeting, you remember the one, where we told the cute little kitten that we went going to hurt it, and then as it walked away, you told it we where only joking and proceeded to ping pong ball it to death, oh, good times) |

All good Prez, not offended by how you spend your money; it is after all your money to spend on whatever you like.
Was just interested on why you wish to support them when in my view they very much did the wrong thing by releasing the game in the state that it was in.
Sorry if I read to much into what I thought you said.
Not trying to offend you by calling you a fanboi I'm just saying that maybe that is the only reason you are supporting them. You want them to succeed but for them to succeed they need to NOT release games in this state.
Brad has been so full of shit over this its amazing. When reviewers criticzed it, he said "It is, with some irony, our commitment to no DRM on our DVD release that ultimately caused the rough pre-release experience of Elemental. Several retailers broke the street date and we felt we needed to release our gold version to our customers who had pre-ordered from us as well as to our beta community that helped make the game the outstanding strategy game that it is."
Was it the retailers who caused the rough pre-release? Is it the 'outstanding strategy game it is'?
I've yet to see anyone call it an outstanding strategy game but Brad. It may become an 'outstanding strategy game" but it anit at the moment so why abuse gamers by releasing it? I thought he championed right for gamers against this kind of thing.
Stardock is fucked and are gonna go under is my call - They anit got the money which is why they released and laid off staff. To hear Brad say any diffently I take with a spoon full of salt. |

So Prez, you are happy and wish to support them although they clearly released a very unfinished game?
You even say you wont play it until it's fixed meaning you know that its broken.
So some 13 year old who spent his months paper run money on this because it look cool on the shelf, should just be happy and understand that this sweet because although it's not really working now, it will be at sometime.
You are saying that you are a Stardock fanboi therefore this is ok to you? In fact you are showing them support for this by purchasing it to let them know it's ok to release software in this state?
This is the very reason Jerykk promotes piracy and in this case he would be very much in the smug position of paying them what he felt it was worth - nothing or close to it, I'd think.
It's not even just ho-hum game play that's the problem from what I understand, it's also very unstable and crashes often.
It should not have been released.
To think you wish to support that is nothing but fanboinisim. |

My money is one less talk of the gamers bill of right from Brad and more DRM in his games.
That is what he's really saying by "my own catastrophic poor judgment in not objectively evaluating the core game play components." , core game play being now the big publishers make money.
Never played or been interested in any of his software and found his claims of Impuses place in the digital market to be overstated (imho) |

Man there is some funny thinking going on there Jerykk.
How is a legil copy of a game (1 of 1000) being resold diluting the supply and demand pool (total still 1000) as aposed to making more copies thought piracy (1866 copies in the world now, due to supply and demand, you may have just devalued the 1000 legit copies)?
How is that 'just like'? |
