I never claimed that graphics make a game...

What was this then?

"I am a real gamer, I care about non-shitty controls/resolution/texture resolution/graphics quality/mods/etcetc"

What if the 'real deal' cereal and the 'no-name' cereal are made in the same place with the same stuff in the same way with the only diffence being at the end when they put it in the box?

The diffence between the two is most likely ADVERTISING, which, in your case, is money well spent.

It's not being elitist. Games on PC are almost always of much higher quality. I want to put my money on higher quality products, so I get more of them. I personally never understood why people accept low resolutions, shitty textures and horrible aiming on consoles. I find this MUCH worse as a gamer and also as someone who cares about the future of gaming and general progression...

I beg to differ with you as to weather you are an elitist - 80% of what you just wrote is elitist.

Good game is a good game be it with low resolutions, shitty textures and horrible console control or not.

A gamer likes games - not shiney graphics and uber frame rates (which are nice, but don't always make amazing games.

To me, the charactor models looked low ploy count, and the animation very 2003 - really bad ice skating around 0:26ish.

Could be a good game but a lot of that will depend how good the Alien AI is cos if it's nothing but wave of 'left4dead zombie' aliens, well I spose that could be ok.

But will they let you buy more EA products after they have locked you out of ones you already brought? i.e. will their 'integrity' let them turn down money?

Even if it does, who cares? GTAIV was a disaster on PC and the gameplay was dated. Nothing I've seen about GTAV makes me think it will be any different. More importantly, WatchDogs actually looks like a decent game and it is getting a proper PC release.

The fact they're not willing to show off any gameplay or technical videos is an obvious warning sign. That and the trailers they've put out look bad for 2008, let alone 2013.

When have they ever show gameplay or technical videos for any of the GTA games? (before release)

Just because you did not enjoy GTAIV on the PC does not make it a disaster. While the port was far from great, and the socail club shit was unwelcome, I still enjoyed it and the two Episodes.

Being a long time PC gamer (has you are), I'm sure you have seen may games that have been 'ruff' and or 'buggy' that have still been fun.

While the gameplay was not fresh, it was very true to the GTA series and the production values of the game (outside of the fact they are working to console limits for graphics) are totally at the top end of the industry ..... the sound track, ads, relalized world ect.

Watchdogs does look very good but I've yet to have any first hand experance with it to see how good they go with their PC release.

Fingers crossed for both games.

Long story short - I care when GTAV PC comes out.

And things like that would be a far better start than banning clip sizes or semi automatics because those two things won't affect anything at all.

So what is your problem with it happening if it won't affect anything at all?

Now that Path of Exile looks great from what I've seen (a friend is in the closed beta) I only hope that Diablo 3 underwelming reception does not put people of other action-RPG.

Plenty of players play with broken limbs, torn muscles, etc.

And they often do so at the detriment of the team.

It's not about wither you can 'play thought the pain', it's about wither you can play as a fully function player - if you injury affects your moblity, your letting the whole team down.

Over the years New Zealand had many All Blacks play with injuries, broke arms, one guy once had a testical ripped and still played on.

Some think they are legends for doing so - really they are all now broken down old men who are out of touch with the modern game. (since rugby turned pro - the players are much better managed around injuries.)
