It shows poor management and why I don't think publishers where willing to get involved again with Roberts.

Waited till Dec 17th to tell people that the thing they where expecting this month is now not gonna happen, when did they know they where gonna delay it?

Egosoft charged me for my X-Rebirth pre-order about ten minutes after I placed it.

For fun, can you tell us how you felt when you first found out they had charged you that early, and then how you felt after you played X-Rebirth.

Go on, it will be like an early Christmas present

Gold plated clan mech preorders and the "limited edition" StarCitizen capital ships are very concerning. I thought EA, Activision, Ubisoft, etc were supposed to be the wallet raiders, not the "independent" studios.

As for MWO, I guess it's true there's a sucker born every minute or that scam would have died by now.

At least with SC you can buy everything in game if you play enough. Not so with MWO.

But what if the game (SC) is a total snoozefest with shitty combat, a 'fake' economy and bits that are still 'works in progress'.

Roberts should have kickstarted Squad42 and finished it, then done another kickstarter for the Star Citizen after he had delivied on the first project. To me it looks like it's out of his control now, so many promise and faith based ship sales that I doubt everyone is gonna get what they want. (also totally open to taking many years to get done)

Just my 2cents (anyone got change for a dollar?)

Well if they where spying in MMO and other online games (due to teh terrorism!!!), It stands to reason that they are spying on all the online porn too (due to teh terrorism!!!)

I'm sure some NSA guy has been paid to 'go undercover' as a porn producer .... therefore making any porn he made for the good of freedom!

I'm also sure teh terrorist would use the most depaved porn as their cover for secret planning and conspiring, therefore making the NSA having to have all kinds of links into all kinds of porn.

United Stasi of America for world peace (in America only), equality for all! And extra equality for Americans! Shifty Speechless Wacko

What I hope is that skilled players will be able to take advantage of less-skilled users with better ships and steal them / destroy them.

Really? So what is it that you think will be 'skill' in this game?

Is skill those who can walk around the hangar fastest? cos that's all you've had to play yet to see how their gameplay works.

What happens if they don't make a very 'skilled' flight model and it's just pew pew in space. They can talk all they like about now it will play but until you (or anyone else) as played at lest an alpha build, you are backing it totally on hope and dreams at this point. (and their concept videos which show how they would like it to look in the end).

Duke Nukem Forever sounded great back in the day, it was gonna be everything to everyone, well, we know how that ended. (form what I've read/heard it was ok but due to the hype over all that time it was always gonna disapoint/be a let down)

Chris Roberts has not published a game in over 10 years .... am I right?

Also those who are all "you don't make a AAA game in a year!", well I don't think this started as a AAA game (and doubt it is) and even then COD which is a AAA game, comes out every years althought that's across two studios (and dirivitive, although so is SC)

I wonder if they pay tax on those "ships" that they sell?

I would not think that you pay tax on kick starter money (anyone know?), but if you are selling something I'd say there is a very good chance you should be paying tax on it? (somewhere in the world)

Perhaps the $35 million goal could be a tax shelter Coffee

What the fuck is wrong with you dj LiTh?

You could have dropped a grand on spaceship in a game you can't even play yet .... you really want to miss out on being a part of that!

Your money could be helping to put together 4k monitors and super beefy PC's (so they can tune the game for all those with 4k monitors and beefy PC's)

Don't you want fly around in space going 'pew pew' at thing?, Whats that? If you wanted to do that you would buy X:Rebirth (cos that a space combat sim that just been released despite people saying that space sims are dead)

Back laters, just off to sell my kidney so my guild can buy a cap ship! Pokestick Trollbashing Urk
