Who is going to play the "love interest"? It's a hollywood flick so there has to be a little romance thrown in. I'm thinking a sassy, girl who knows how to use weapons. At first Doom guy wonders if a woman can fight, then with a sassy little remark she easily blows away a monster. This movie is going to rock.

Surrrrrrrrrre ... why not let us see the view point of the German Soldier as he lines up the innocent Jewish Grandmother or child and hordes them off into the Gass Chamber.
I'm not really shocked that I have to say this, but not every German soldier killed Jews. Just because Hitler and other Germans did horrible things, does not make every German a horrible person. They suffered after WWI, they suffered during WWII and they suffered after WWII. Germans cities were bombed, refuges burned alive, women raped, POW's sent to Russian death camps. These people had families, people who cared about them, just like everyone else who dies in wars. The wave of WWII video games have distilled these people into evil and inhuman monsters without feelings. It gets a little old.

If they're going to continue to pump out WWII games why not do something different. Make a game sympathetic to and from the viewpoint of an average German soldier. That would be a refreshing change from the mindless shooting of German soldiers.

I just played Ghost Recon and the expansions through for the 3rd time. Then I tried some levels with some of the weapon mods out there. The weapon mods out there really kick ass. I also played the "Operation Stabalise" mod. The mod is very very good and it was nice to play with as an Australian team. One of the coolest things was the new sniper models. They blended well into the terrain making the game a bigger challenge.
Can't wait for GR 2!

I like the idea of MMORPGs, and I've MUDed and played EQ in the past. However I look at the time I spent killing small rat only to move on to slightly larger rat and I can't help but think the time could be better spent.
Trying to "replicate the success" of EQ seems pointless. EQ gives their players what they need and continual expansions to keep them interested. Everyone else probably isn't interested in another EQ clone or they'd be playing EQ.

these are all design mechanisms put in place to coerce the player into a particular action.
Hmmm.. I played Planetside for a while when it came out and I don't remember any of that. You weren't coerced into any small area, which sometimes made it hard to find a good fight. There weren't any cliffs too steep to traverse. Although I think if you fly out into the ocean your plane eventualy looses power.

Interplay agreed and the team continued work on Baldur's Gate 3. The title was cancelled after management failed to retain the license for the D&D system
They better hope my girlfriend doesn't find out that they cancelled BG3. She's played BG2 like 5 times and would hunt Interplay down and kill them. 
Man 95% done. They had a sure thing with Fallout 3.

Man I played Strike Fleet to death. That game was fun.
Speaking of Apple IIE I fired up an old game I used to love called "Wraith: Devil's Demise". First RPG I ever played. I loaded it up and it said it was written by John Carmack. Woah!
