I'm an Aussie, and I loved everything about the character.

128mb of videocard memory has very little to do with model poly count.

What are they going to do with 6 gigs of hard drive space? Maybe that's for installation only.

Honestly, aside from lazy development, I have no idea how developers can suck up as much space as they do these days... aside from the times when they pack a DVD full of fmv.

can you imagine if they treated ALL customers like criminals, just because people have shoplifted there?

If most of the people who entered the shop stole something, could you blame them?

*puts ear to the ground*

What's that? Oh... it's just the piracy defenders club coming to debunk what I've just said.

I love Nvidia products, but that is a load of drivel.

...we're going to see more of an approach that says that PC games aren't products - they're a service.

So all the legit people have to pay for a rubbish service while the pirates do as usual and take whatever they want? Thank goodness for indie games as products, is all I'll say.

I tried the demo.

After driving down the highway the wrong way and smashing into about twenty cars, doing a head-on with another bus, driving at full speed up and down hills in an attempt to flip my bus onto its side, skidding out of control and getting my bus stuck on top of another car (passengers screaming all the way) I have to say- this game is sure to have Jack Thompson up in arms.

At negative 5000 points, I'd sure had fun.

This game needs coop. Two buses. Two completely different routes.

The very meaning of fun.

Who cares when, just like in real life, you have 5 TIERS OF INCREASING DIFFICULTY!

Come on... how can you not make fun of this game?

Thanks Hyatus, that's what I meant.

Space game developers (those who try coop) haven't quite yet grasped the idea that coop is more than having your friends join you in the same game. The great thing about coop is being able to see your friends, interact all the time with them, and share the same experiences. Coop shouldn't feel like friends playing seperate singleplayer game together in the same game.

If someone comes up with good coop in space... action or otherwise, I'll certainly welcome it. But, I think it'll take some clever rethinking of how coop has been done before.

#7 shut up. Its people like you who wanna play arcade blaster thats fine but some of us like the simulation aspect of games too and we're still waiting for a next gen sim so please, go back to xbox live and play some gradius or something

Wow, what an awesum insult. Hey brightspark, if you're waiting for a simulation, why are you whining to me about it in a thread about a Wing Commander clone? Oh, I forgot. It's idiot's day out at Blues as usual.

That, and the whole massive distance and tiny objects thing of space games really doesn't help the "let's work together" atmosphere.

"Hey, I got into a dogfight on the other side of the battle!"

"Awesome! I'm just attacking the front of this mothership. Can you come on over to this side of the battle and attack the back?"

"Sure, I'll be there in five minutes."

...it couldn't make up for the fact that the game is completely mindless and tedious.

It was supposed to be. That's what made the game the classic it is. At a time when developers were trying to add depth to the fps genre SS reminded everyone just how cool it was to simply shoot things. Co-op was added because they had the foundations laid to chuck it in... it wasn't added to somehow make up for some area of deficiency.

Hardware and PC components that carry the AMD GAME! logo let PC buyers and do-it-yourself gamers know they will have a customized and exceptional gaming experience.

Except for the games which don't support AMD cpus or non-Nvidia cards properly, sure.
