Installed it, and I get a nice crash to the desktop if I try and play the campaign.
I wonder if a reset will fix it. Ah well, the searching for answers begins. |

Edit: god damn it only $10 off, nvm, fuck that. LOL... I read it that was too, at first. A fantastic game though, well worth paying full price for. |

It doesn't have any AA options, but you should be able to set the AA to whatever you want in your video card software. Force AA, force V-sync. Yup, also try nHancer. |

There are some large bugs sitting on the community buglist... things like dead AI reporting your position. I've personally seen a lot of bugs in the random spec-op missions, like being able to take over a dead teammate (the game didn't know what to do after that- there was no UI or anything, and it has happened twice so far) and helicopter issues every two seconds. The reality is the game has a large amount of bugs, but that's no reason to avoid it, or give up on it, as it still offers some fanstatic gaming moments.
AI that is completely predictable and then expect all that from a simulator like ArmA2. I truly love that aspect of Arma 2. The computer AI is brutal... and that's a breath of fresh air. Not since Opflash have I felt what it's like to be running for my life in a forest |

| From what I understand the codebase was rewritten for Arma (or at least, a very large chunk of it) but yes, it should be fairly solid by now. In truth, there are parts of Arma2 that are pretty solid (the editor, for one) but whoever is behind the scripting needs to learn a thing or two. |

I love Arma2, but I agree that the game (mostly anything related to singleplayer) is full of bugs. The game isn't a total disaster, but bizarre things happen all the time (especially related to choppers!).
The docs could also use some work. |
