| I remember seeing videos and interviews about this, and how it was the 'next big thing' from LucasArts. I never even knew it was released and saw it in a bargain bin for $10 the other day. |

| If its done right. Who the hell didn't enjoy those scenes in the SW movies with hundreds of ships flying between massive capital cruisers blasting the hell out of each other? Not just a few niche people Im guessing..so if someone has the balls to try and capture that feeling in a game you can PLAY there would be interest.. |

| Thats good news, maybe means they are working on a NEW X-wing title. I just pray its got the same level of depth or more than the old ones had, with truly next gen graphics. True to life size capital ships and many many ship battles. Dont consolize it.. |

| Those 41 people must have really been sucking SOE dry I guess, a multi million dollar company like that. Oh well they can always find replacements, the market flooded with people as it is. Maybe they will just out source to India! |

| I doubt its the end of arma2, even tho its pretty broken right now it will get better with time and it seems the scope of Arma2 is still bigger? It says you can only command a few vehicles in OPF2? Or can you still use anything you want? |

| In-game my ass, nothing about it feels 'live' like someone was actually playing, its all very well thought out, RENDERED footage to approximate an in-game scene.. |

Didn't look like in-game stuff to me, more pre-rendered with in game assets. I cant' believe you guys are buying it as real.
And using UE3 you can kiss large open world scenario's good bye.

Thats an excellent point!
Those of us who use the term SIM, we use it to describe FEEL.... not minute detail realism. We just wanna FEEL like we are incockpit piloting a Mech. Mechwarrior 3 was THE only Mechwarrior game imho to put us IN the cockpit. |

Well since its being made for the 360, the lower common denominator wins usually so 4 colored buttons, plus the shoulder/trigger buttons and maybe a few extra click controls is what your gonna get. Unless they are making 2 different skews (One sim and one action) I think what your gonna get is sim-lite/action. Come on, this is 2009. Also its being made in the UE3 engine right? So expect a lot of city stuff, smallish levels and definitely no expansive environments as UE3 sucks at that.. |
