| I remember buying this game back in the day because a couple guys on irc kept raving about it but when I installed it I was like what the hell is this... the turn based combat turned me off completely as I wasn't into RPGs back then. So is Sfall is a "must have" mod or what? Is the 13 year time limit really that annoying? |

| sigh... just sigh... as a HUGE Duke3d fan (I played the shit out of it on Kali/TEN/Modem2Modem) I still had a glimmer of hope in my heart that this game wouldn't be trash but well, we all know what happened there. I can only hope once again that when Duke5 comes out (and you know it will) it redeems the franchise and the character. |

The only mode I despise is Rabbit. I was playing against some badass skiers that would leave me in the dust everytime they got the flag. The couple times I got the flag, I was dead within 15 seconds, it was frustrating to say the least 
CTF and TDM are the funk though, <3 the Rangers grenade launcher |

I was so addicted to Battlefield 3 until I got into the Tribes beta last week, I haven't touched BF3 since then. The game has a good feel, just how Tribes/T2 felt. Like how Linksil said, it sucks not having the freedom to customize the classes but the premade options are pretty good. I might just pay the monies and get that VIP booster pack as well, it's just that much fun.
BTW, as I didn't read it and just hit ACCEPT, what does the NDA allow us to speak about. Can we make general comments about the game without going into much detail or what.  |

The same thing happened to me, got the email stating my account has been selected to beta test KOTOR yet no key or anything. I guess it was just a preemptive email to let you know not to get beta keys from anywhere else since you will have a guaranteed one. dunno |

I can't even make any sense out of Forgotten Realms anymore, they tore it apart and ruined 200 novels of canon on a whim and practically destroyed the franchise.

because people are hateful creatures... they act as if 3drealms owed them anything... sure I wanted the game to be out already as I was a huge Duke fan but I never once held any anger towards 3drealms for not finishing it because they don't owe me a damn thing and can take however long they feel like. |

I'm tempted to buy this game after hearing so much praise, however is the single player the thing that keeps you hooked or is it multiplayer?
My internet connection is pretty slow at my new place so I am sticking to offline games for the time being. |

| hmm this is awesome... however, should I get the fat ps3 or the new slim one? I don't know if I want to take a gamble and get the slim ps3 and have it break on me cause of "questionable" parts to lower production costs. At least I know the fat ps3 works great... sigh |

I played FFXI for about 2 months and I really liked it, however the grind was just too much for me. It was worse than EQ... That being said, as long as the grind isn't as bad and you can actually solo, I'd get it

Oh please. That is a ridiculous hypothesis. Nobody cares or cared about DNF. Nobody was on the edge of their chair waiting for it to come out. This whole fiasco is just dumb, and everybody is just making fun of 3DR for being a load of bullshit that never came true. Nobody REALLY cares that DNF is never going to see the light of day, and it really has nothing to do with fanboyism.
Blanket statements are fun... Duke3d was the second game I ever played on a Windows computer right after Doom and it was the one that hooked me to computer gaming in general, so yeah I care.
People need to stop being such brats about this. Yeah they kept us waiting forever and fucked up in the end... oh well shit happens. |

The soldier shouldn't have been able to kill his own team member either. Is it even possible to turn on team damage in TF2?
