You are an idiot. Try and get a refund because you cant get the game to run (which I'm willing to bet is user error), fine. Not because DLC is delayed...which has fuck all to do with Valve.

You saying you would prefer they get the DLC out instead of focusing on fixing the main game first? Nobody would agree with you. You are just fucking stupid.
As for getting your game working, aside from the obvious, try different driver versions, I can't help you. Game has run just fine for me since release, with a few graphic errors, but they are gone now.

I'll be getting RO2 before I touch another CoD game anytime soon.
I was able to try RO2 for about 15min at a friends house, and the infantry combat felt pretty good. Still not paying $40 for it though.

Bludd wrote on Sep 30, 2011, 20:30: but I can for certain say you will be able to rebind keys in the full version, and you are not able to in the beta. How extensive the rebinding feature is, I can't say, but it will exist. So I should come to you for a refund if they don't?
You can't say for "certain" that they will. Alpha to Beta, same issues with keybinds. It's not just keybinds, the major issue is not being able to rebind mouse buttons, and some of the commands cannot be bound at all, to anything. Joystick bindings are even worse off.
Last night I decided to use AutoHotKey scripts to fix my mouse/keyboard controls, so I can play the beta, but I still don't have a few controls where I want them due to this bullshit.
They've had similar problems in ever single one of their BF game releases, starting with 1942. If this shit isnt fixed before Beta ends, A LOT of people will be cancelling their pre-orders. As it stands, 6 months ago they were showing everyone how awesome the game is. Since then it's be nothing but reasons for people to not buy.

Way to stick your foot in your mouth Valve... Uhhm right...Valve doesn't make up the promotion stuff for other companies. They would have posted what details were given to them.
And seriously, if you want a refund because DLC is delayed, you are a very sad sad individual. You must be friends with Cutter.

It's been highlighted in an orange bar on Origin for a few weeks, that they will not ever remove games from an idle account, and that there are no download limits on accounts either.

This is just a typical example of people resisting change, that has actually improved upon what they had before.

But specifically we are talking about the Server Browser and how to change servers while in-game.
If someone asks how to do something and I tell them how, and they respond with "I don't want to", then fuck them. They aren't worth helping.
I've already been very clear that I felt the same way as Spectral when I first heard about it and saw it in Alpha. It was strange, it was different...but it works and it works better and is faster than their previous efforts of in-game browsers.

Verno wrote on Sep 29, 2011, 14:17: Everyone knows all of the standard Windows functions and uses them in games obviously, right? You're just acting like a dick. I have no idea why but that's whats really going on here. People aren't happy with the user interface, deal with it. No I'm not acting like a dick. I'm making it clear that SpectraMeat doesn't actually have valid reasons why this system doesn't work, other than he just doesnt like it because it's different.
If someone can't figure out how to use the standard Alt-Tab windows function to change servers from Battlelog, they deserve some ridicule.

Verno wrote on Sep 29, 2011, 14:05: These are not the standard methods people are used to and you know it. They are Windows standard functions. And you know it. Once you get beyond the, 'I don't press Esc and click Server Browser', it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
Verno wrote on Sep 29, 2011, 14:05: The only thing that really slowed down the BC2 experience was all stuf related to how Dice parsed the server lists and that login stuff at the loading screens. That being said, the actual quality of the server browser itself is better than their previous efforts but that's not exactly saying much. It was their best effort yes. It was still slow and clunky, for the reasons you stated. Which still makes the web based system work better and faster. Nevermind that it's a lot faster to get into a game with the new system.

SpectralMeat wrote on Sep 29, 2011, 14:01: Because I do not like it, that's why. Figured that out the first time you said it. But why? The only reason you've given is because you don't want to have to Alt-Tab for the Server Browser. Nobody cares you don't want to press Alt-Tab. Otherwise, you have given no good reasons as to why this new method is not better, other than 'you don't like it'.

SpectralMeat wrote on Sep 29, 2011, 13:53: No it is not difficult it is not needed. Do console gamers have to Alt+Tab out of the MP game also to find another server to play on? Why is it a problem for you? You just seem to be against change, simply to be against it. It's faster, and the game takes less time to load because it's not loading some massive front end menu.
