I just hope that more developers put out Linux clients. I am not going to Vista, so its XP or Linux for me in the future. It's only a matter of time. You WILL go Vista. All of you WILL go Vista .... eventually. MWHAHAHAHA!!!

I'm surprised PlayNC doesn't do something like Sony did with it's all accesss pass. Actually if it did, then maybe this game might still be afloat. It actually is ... errr .... was a fun game to play. I wonder how many of the people saying otherwise ACTUALLY played it after release. Not many I'd say.

I find this new quite sad. While I hadn't played in a while, the time I did play was an absolute hoot! Sadly this games was underated from the start, and not enough people actually gave it a real go.

Look, when I call Fallout 3 a first person shooter I'm not saying it's going to be Call of Duty: Post-Apocalypse. I'm saying that it will probably play a lot like STALKER, but with character development, more detailed quests and bullet time... oops, I mean VATS. Again, this may turn out to be a fun game but if so it will be fun for entirely different reasons than those which made Fallout 1 and 2 such classic games. Don't get me wrong. I also lament (though probably not as much as many others) the passing of the isometric Fallout 1 & 2 .... and the Gold Box games, and the Ultima series, and the Wing Commander/Privateer series, System Shock and all those games that will likely never make a return in the way that I fondly remember them .... simply because they are gone. The King is dead. Long live the King.
I didn't expect to see another Fallout. The fact that we're getting something that has the feel (but not necessarily to look) is a bonus as far as I'm concerned. Someone earlier mentioned they were thinking of Fallout 3 as a Fallout spin-off. I never thought of it before, but it does kind of ring true ... for me anyway.

Fallout 3 is a first person shooter because it will automatically sell better because it. Lets see what it REALLY ends up being. Actually sit down and READ the articles any you will see that the emphasis is not on action, but on roleplaying and "questing". It may have some FPS elements to it, but from what I gather from the various articles that's only a minor part of it. But until we get our hands on it, we really won't know for sure.
But meh. If you don't want to play it, not loss to me. I really could give a rat's arse.

For all those who want a "true sequel" to Fallout, go grab your old box of Fallout 2 and a crayon and write a big "3" over the top of the "2". That seem to be the only thing that will make you all happy.
The rest of us will see what Bethesda give us. Time to move on ....
EDIT: And incidently, before you lump me in with the "young pups", I've probably been playing games on PC's when most of you so called "older gamers" where still in nappies. I just don't mind seeing games EVOLVE!

I guess the Turbine shills are coming to the BN forums now, too. Figures. No. I just don't feel the need to whine, whinge, complain, bitch and crap on at every single subject out there. If I like something, I'll speak positively about it.
I guess that concept is lost on most people around here. Being negative for the sake of it was cool in the 90's .... time to move on.
