As with the first demo, it comes in to its own when you ramp up the difficulty. On the standard level, it does just feel like a load of connected scripted events. Ramp up the difficulty though, and that introduces panic - and it all becomes less noticeable. For me it feels like a completely different when played like this- but completing the whole game would probably be hard work.

This is indeed true. Geoff Crammond was involved too.
SCR - my first real LAN gaming experience - two Amigas and a serial cable - blasting around the sky high circuits - amazing stuff.
Sad news....
