Impressive interview, if true.
The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

There were some popular Guards versus Thieves multiplayer mods, so it's probably a variation. Well one could hope anyway.

Interesting that they would buckle there but not elsewhere. I'd love to have been a fly on the way during D3s development and controversial decisions being made. Surely not everyone there is fond of the direction the final produce appears to have taken.
Don't recall any other countries complaining. It's too damn bad, since afaik this is money scam being setup by blizzard. The reason they are getting away with it, is since most nations (except Korea, apparently) seem to have no idea what Blizzard is actually up to.

Wish I knew more about international law but if they setup the main sever in say the Caymen Islands, they will avoid paying taxes to each the countries.

Assuming you bought the digital version from them and not the retail version or something. Then you did have DRM that was eventually removed because of outcry over the performance issues it caused.

Actually, I pre-ordered the GOG digital release of Witcher 2 which had no DRM at all. If anyone purchased the game elsewhere and got DRM it was only due to their own negligence.
Humm, is it possible GoG is region lock or blocked in some countries forcing some to buy from other locations? If so, not sure how they makes a customer negligent. Well of course unless you are like CD Projekt RED...
we are 100 per cent sure

I agree never play any of these vanilla, they released buggy and some cases broken.

Really inspired world, but getting the devs to actually focus on gameplay and stablity is just fucking useless. They are obsessed with with spending more time on "greatest graphics evarz!". First game took seven years and was a mess at release.

It was a lot of fun too, but the kind of fun where you get stabbed with a knife twice for every great moment.

I've read about the new dental technology about growing new teeth (sent Blue a link within the last year), also. Iirc, in addition there is a vaccine they are working on that would use our immune system to attack plaque causing bacteria (within the last 2 years).

Unless I'm mistaken "First" protects "the people" from the government suppression. It does NOT protect "For Profit" uses of patented materials.

This is why game makers pay for rights to use "the real thing" or use modified textures and names of "the real thing". The first example that comes to mind is the original Mafia, they slightly modified the cars and guns. So basically this is a fraudulent submission designed to waste the courts time.

As others point out, it's naturally the height of arrogance and hypocrisy this is coming from ea. So just another day.

Typical fascistic techniques are the same used by banking, tobacco, big oil, pharmaceutical companies and our government to start wars like Iraq.

Corporate conglomeration used to overthrow democracy, has nothing to do with free markets.

It's going to be really interesting to see the blowback from the community especially regarding forced online and real money profiteering decisions. My guess/feel is they will easily lose 20% of their potential sales, had this been a normal sequel instead of an obvious profiteering schemes beyond game making.

Afi can see, it's mostly based on them creating a international revenue system without any governmental oversite. Actually at this point it seems more like a money laundering scheme. Don't recall atm, but seems like blizzscam is getting at least 5% on each real money sale.
