News Comments > Risen 2 DLC Already on Disc?

Boy, there's some funny fanboy ranting

Normaly, the publisher chooses the DRM, but it's the dev who implements it. Normaly, it's the publishers descision to offer additional DLC and it's the devs job to create and implement it. And normaly, PB is well known for releasing buggy games since Gothic 1.

And seeing this little disaster, everything is the way it should be with games from PB
Did you even read his post, you just got through confirming what I said, then tried to pass it off as a rant? Yeah, they released buggy games, they have been 12-20 man team from about 1998 to 2008 they worked out of a converted house 12-18 hours a day (about as much as you run your mouth apparently) and for the most part are/have been a independent developer.

Yeah I did hear this was pretty buggy and why I was waiting on a patch, I knew Deep Silver would force it out early/buggy. Yet you seem so clueless about publishers pushing titles out, your ignorantly willing to blame the developer. I'm defiantly a fan of PB but I would and do defend any independent in these cases whether or not I'm a fan of the developer.

Essentially your were wrong on every count, good luck next time emo.

I'm eagerly awaiting the day when you quit being a cocksucking apologist. Oh wait... you like the taste of cocks too much don'tcha? OK. Then swallow on.

I do believe you are so eager you can't get those thoughts out of your head. I do hate to be the barer of bad news, I have no interest in your lusts, you'll have to get your gay fix somewhere else.

The publisher is responsible for the descision to offer DLC. The technical implementation however ...
I have no idea where your getting this info from, that's like saying the developer is responsible for choosing and implementing drm. Look your just looking for a excuse to emo-blame PB for some personal grudge go for it. Just pretending PB or any other HIRED/CONTRACTED developer makes sales, marketing, publishing, content and copy production is nonsense unless you have any credible info saying otherwise.

Yeah, this sucks and I'm a PB fan(man? :p ) but in all honesty it's the publisher who calls the shots like this. Culprit? Deep Silver.

What was so great about the coop mechanics? You could play with other people in the most basic sense but about the only actual coop elements were a bunch of auras and mobs got a bunch of HP. I don't remember any other synergies or skill interplay.
Like I said, nothing better, if you find a better Coop game let us know! Once we removed all the bullshit bloom, fov, fog and dust the Resort area looked amazing. Never said it had great gameplay, great gameplay would have been Dark Messiah melee.
If your not a fan of Coop or Zombies action RPGs, there's nothing for your here.

The story is from a book, which is being made into a movie and yes Techland screwed up the ending, it was stupid. As a writer from Bioware mentioned in a thread (we were complaining about the ending to Neverwinter Nights 2).."when you run short on time and/or money the ending usually suffers. This is becasue developers know most people won't make it to the end of a 40 hour game and anyone who does, is mostly likely a fan who will grumble and complain but still buy your next game."

Worth every bit of the $35 I spent, had a blast playing this Coop and it's the reason I finally joined Steam. If the only difference in GotY is DLC, pass on it and just buy the regular game, since for the most part DLC sucks in this game.

It's true it was consolized, but easily editable for PC gamers. Once modded it looked and ran amazingly, with the Resort area being extremely well done. This is a problem Techland has had all along, they are console *hores, can't seem to wrap there head around the whole PC thing. However the biggest problems they've had their past game(s) CoJ, which did get fixed? Open world and Coop are done really well here.

Are there actual specifics about the complaints of the trailer not portraying the actual game, I didn't notice?

The main thing afaik is there really isn't a better Coop game, certainly nothing this well done in a long time.

Wondering if this will be for sale on GOG as well, though Steam is a better setup for Coop.

It's crazy to ship so full of bugs to your customers, at least from what I read there tons of issues with this game.

So this WvW must be some pvp variation, can't think of how that might work in pve? Please say this game I've been waiting to play is not pvp.

Where do you get this light patch?
It's built into the install, just choose BASIC patch. The PLUS patch has the extras.

WOO HOO, we didn't get the Library level added, but I'm still looking forward to this lots of good stuff! The new level sounds like it coming along great and Brian Mitsoda gave Wesp the details. It's still being worked on by Burgermeister, creator of Clan Quest Mod!

Arkane does the best melee and this is their game from scratch. It's hard to imagine any missteps, unless it gets released too soon.

Arkane is finally getting their big break and the trailer looked pretty amazing.

I hate the way we are forced to play someone else. Then forced into choosing a side or force you into a relationship they want you to be in. Forced into making decisions someone wrote in a book.

They have an extremely interesting world to make an RPG. Too bad instead of using the world's lore and allowing us to make new characters, we get shafted.

If I wasn't having fun in TOR I might check it out, but it's way to late for them to start pretending they care about their customers. Especially with GW 2 and Secret World on the horizon.

Nordic Games (the company that bought out *the publisher who shall never be named*) seems to be updating/fixing all the games they acquired like Gothic and Dungeon Lords.

Hell, I hope it works out as long as Nordic Games doesn't have a ANY DAMN management personnel from the previous publisher.

Btw 50 hours of Coop, they have to be adding new content, there's NO way the original game lasted that long. I bet that's going to be the sell, original game fixed and expansion pack.
