This is why developers, regardless of how good they are, should not be in charge of QA. They won't. They think like scientists, so they'll say "we'll get much more useful data from asking thousands of customers for their crash reports anyway."
No idea where your getting this info. Developers don't release or Q&A for the publishers. This has publisher written all over it, they force out titles early and do their own Q&A fix list. I.e if the developer wants to get paid they fix what the publisher is paying to get fixed.

Damn, had no idea Howard played such a big role in Morrowwind. Guess I'll have to just pick on pete for Oblivion, now.

Think I'm done with the game until they fix it a bit more. Seems like the longer you play, to slower the game runs.

Also not a fan of weapon degradation and checkpoint saves.
Damn, hope there is a mod/hack to make normal saves and slower degradation.

I heard there is respawning also. Hate when developers do this without some plausible explanation. Obviously this game couldn't explain it. Unless of course there are new ships docking every time you leave a zone, with a new shipment. Sigh

Ooc does Steam monitor all your games are just the ones you buy from Steam and are located in the Steam folder? Asking since I have many games installed not from Steam, using no-cd/dvds, which I don't want touched/patched/monitored.

I've heard of an opt out of sharing data, but don't have experience with Steam yet.

Thanks.

These guys running crytek have been total dicks to the gaming community and now we find they treat their employees like slaves. Naturally like everything else, they always blame everyone else. No wonder the fit in so well at ea.

I need to retract my statement about DE3 not being an RPG! I was just told if you at the start of the game, don't leave the office all the hostages die which easily proves me wrong. Doh, sorry.

I can't recall atm if Jensen is told there are hostages. I always play games strait good side, so even if he is told, I wouldn't have stay behind at the office.

I knew a conversation could open a door, instead of making you go in the back way but not sure that's a real choice/consequence (C&C). I really don't want to be forced to play dark/bad/evil to see C&C.

Maybe they didn't get this part of the game finished, but honestly, this reeks like a "Let's look what we could cut from the game to make some extra cash as DLC." decision to me. DLCs after a game ends are mission packs, but in the middle? Very suspicious...
Unless there was some cut dialog, I just don't see how it fits the current story. Whether it was cut or made up after the game release. Thing is when you wake (atm anyway) you don't mention anything about it, you have all the same augs and all the same equipment in all the same inventory slots. They may have well removed dialog, becasue they didn't want it to be suspicious, but the whole idea of this doesn't fit.

Sure he has healing augs but no complaints about being tortured, wtf?

Finished it, defiantly a miracle they pulled off here. After all the turmoil of this franchise they made a great game. Also managed to do it without really pissing off any section of the fan base, afaik.

It's definably one of the smoothest ports, I've played. Probably don't need to mention this but make sure you watch the full credits at least once for the final scene.
I'm not sure this final scene changes based on one of the four endings, the credits are so damn long I haven't checked it. My guess is the final scene is the same.

Actually seems a great time to try out the new graphic mod for DE1 and is enough to get me to play DE2 just to get the full effect.

Can you name one in the first two cities? If so put it in spoiler tags and mention what city it's in so someone who's not that far won't actually get ganked by reading it, please.

No way they already have enough trouble with cheating, if it was a single player game, maybe. Though this is ea, I don't recall them releasing editors, but don't pay them much attention anyway.

It's turned out to be a great game so far, only finished the second city. Thing is I'm not sure how to classify this game, not really sure it's a true RPG. Now if it was classified as an Action game it could easily win GotY.

So far the dialog hasn't really convinced me it's RPG, nothing significant (so far anyway) choices or consequences. It's nothing even close to Alpha Protocol, but that's setting a pretty high standard for dialog choice.

I agree it also won't stand a chance against a more choice oriented game like Skyrim will be, either. Bethesda games don't always offer great choice or consequences but they do offer more than I've seen here, atm.

I'm not blaming Eidos Montreal they pulled of a miracle of sorts, but this really isn't a RPG, afaik.

I hope this is good obviously, but hope this isn't a pr disaster. As most developers, pretty sure they build the game then take out part for dlc.

Who doesn't want another great game to play, especially coop and zombies! Allthumbsup

The Cartel got such bad reviews I never tried it, so waiting as well. My big fear is this is just going to be another scripted based series like CoJ. The first CoJ I still liked despite all the scripting but it did cause the game suffer.

It seems pretty clear the majority gamers prefer open world gaming like Red Dead. So if they are trying to make the switch to open world, then I might buy it just to support it, otherwise yikes.
