Guess I'm in the minority, I didn't like Argo at all. Nothing personal against Affleck but his acting has never been convincing to me. No idea why he keeps getting super hero parts

Question is, are they going to be stupid and keep trying to compete in hardware with Apple, Sony, et al. Or will they be smart and go back to their core competencies?
stupid is as stupid does, and stupid does do.

Beat me to it. TFS was pretty damn good back in the day, with mission base objectives.

I still can't believe some execitive at fox didn't lose his job for the idiot move of canceling Sarah Connor Chronicles for Dollhouse.

At least to me, it's the $15 US monthly fee for subscription that causes the failure. It's just too much, that pricing model is at least 14 years old.

I'm betting $10 US price mark would increase the subscription base of most if not all mmogs by 30% to 50%. I don't see a single company trying it, out right. I've seen some like LotRO try it as a discount for 3 months, which does seem to be successful.

Great franchise, pathetic console gameplay design as usual, from square enix and eidos. Until people stop buying at release, they will keep making it.

Too bad people don't wait till the first 50% off sale, that would send an amazing message.

Has there been a more disappointing president in recent history? And no, Nixon and Dubya don't count because you knew things were going to be bad from the outset. Hope and change my ass! Guess he meant he hoped we didn't know how bad the changes for the worst would be.

And why the fuck is Clapper not being charged with perjury? How in the hell does that work? Lying under oath is totally cool now?
Exactly, from hope and change to war criminal and treason. Now future generations have two administrations to convict. Oh and at least one director of nsa.

I'm hoping Avalanche Studios cares enough about the quality of their game to hire a real writer. I guess they could just be making a similar action game to Just Cause, in the Mad Max world.

I would prefer an RPG, something with more depth and custom made Mad *avatars with character generation, at the start of the game. They could probably save tons of money, having a silent protagonist. Instead spend all their money on great writer and NPC voice actors. Also of course make it Coop, like Dead Island and they would have a major success financially and critically.

Dishonored please stop making Bone Charms random and let us add charm points to our desired build, just as Runes. Nothing like playing Stealth and getting crappy tanking or damage charms to ruin your game.

omg'er can't wait to see the totally awesome, new super duper doom 4, doom 5 and doom 6000 engines in a game. It's like reality but better!

I needed a break from GW2, having fun with The Secret World, especially for the price and full access F2P. TSW $9.99, I've only heard it lower at GMG, with a coupon bring it to $5.99.

Great graphics, some of the best mmog work giving NPCs voice, personality to world, with storied cutscenes. Quests are tied to the story often creatively and funny. A 15 year old, heavy metal fan who due to watching and playing so many zombie movies and games, knows what's up and has set up a fortress at a skate park.

Weaknesses are overwhelming Build choices despite official line "you can't make a mistake", you can screw up and make a weak build while low level. Animations are average and I found disabling DX 11 allowed the game to run better all around. I heard from friends who played AoC for a couple of years, DX 11 had never really optimized correctly there either.

Oh the nightmares and horrors of corpses in EQ, camping graveyards trying to get groups. :-masochism-:

No 3d mmo has been 'hard' since EQ, period.

None of these newbgen players have any idea what a hard, demanding MMO is like. Corpse loss, camping Jboots (haha), a real sense of fear of screwing up -- everyone had to have their shit together and there was no forum spoilers or crybabies -- you discovered shit for yourself and dealt with it.

There's a place for a no-bullshit, difficult MMO, and I'm glad I was a part of the EQ craziness out of the gate -- but personally I won't go down that road again.
Hehe, you clearly never played Vanguard.

I still have to believe soe bought Vanguard so, they can incorporate Vanguard and EQ3. Everything in Vanguard, was so much better than EQ2, except enough funding to finish it.

DX 11.2 is SO advanced and light years ahead of previous version, it couldn't possibly be backwards compatible.

Well grabbed TSW, almost got it installed. Damn 16 gig dl and 35 gig install.

I was thinking of joining Arcadia (RP), any suggestions on which faction to start with? I'm thinking of going for Blood/Elemental as a solo build, since I generally play mage classes. I've been trying to read as many "Things I wish I would have known" threads as possible, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.
