Well there ya go folks, they heard your pleas finally.

For me though, unless Obsidian is writing it, I'll prolly pass on pre-ordering and get it way later.
Agreed, even in Skyrim their dialogues were average at best. The worst part is they clearly could afford good writers.

Bethesda seems capable of coming up with good story-lines. However their dialogues and character development can often, out right suck. In Obsidian games the npcs are for the most part, uniquely amazing and full of depth.

I can't comment on the accuracy, since I'll probably never play another Witcher game, unless they get away from this 'forced' to play Geralt crap.

It seems like a good article, well written and the author is clearly not one of the 'psycho cray cray gamergate misogynists'. My guess if this is accurate (first I've heard of this newest controversy) and Sarkesian is wrong she will probably admit it. No clue about the guy.

I can see how 'psycho cray cray gamergate misogynists' will use this as a firebreathing and mansplaining opportunity, unlike the author of this rebuttal. Fortunately the Feds got involved awhile back and all of a sudden there was a huge drop in death threats.

Shocking, I know. Shocked

It would be a good move, more money spent and more people playing games through out the summer.

How's that a good move? Think about stuff like health insurance. All those fat obese immobile kids with their candy paws glued to a fucking controller are going to drive premiums up.
I, for one, am hoping that kids go outside in summer more and play other games.... like chasing some pussy.
Apparently you haven't been paying attention to several different benefits of playing video games. Scientifically better hand to eye coordination, spacial awareness and auditory awareness. Medically everything from Autism to PTSD, most neurological health and long term sanity. Legally lower crime rates and much less violent youth crimes. Oh and girl gamers...they're 'The New Black'...baby! Lighter

So you know what you need to do Mwahaha

Tried to read some forums to answer my question, thought it might not have been clear.

Apparently you are gimped in AoC unless you are paying monthly, like SWOR. This game afai can tell is not fully unlocked free to play, whether you buy the game or not.

Do they have a real Free to Play, i.e. Buy to Play, with cash shop only for cosmetic items? Such as games like Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online.

Sega should be glad fans have allowed them to have a success, after all their bullshit. Middlefinger

I've never seen the draw of Run and Hide games. I'm just too obsessive about character development, story and questing.

The one exception, is playing villain based RPGs such as GTA. I would play GTA in a heartbeat if it had character generation and at the very least neutral based story decisions. Something along the lines of rising through the ranks of the mob with a choice of steering the mob towards more legit or more villainous directions.

I don't play VAC games, so won't effect me. This sounds bad, i.e. third party software installed. I HATED, ubi installed punkbuster without permission, without letting me know. Then leaving it on my system after I uninstalled Far Cry 3. I never played multiplayer.

punkbuster would not uninstall, I had to download a special program from the idiots at punkbuster to uninstall their software.

It is a very intense moment/scene, at least it was for me. I felt like he was making the right decision to save her, but at the same time, the reprecussions of her living are hard to ignore.

Dropping into SST: I need to replay, but I'm about 95% sure there's an audio log you find in the hospital that says there were others before Ellie. Which I took as a way to let the player off the hook for doing what Joel did. If there were others, there still could be others out there. And Joel's actions didn't damn humanity.

But, after reading various threads, some folks didn't find that log, and basically say "welp! humanity is SCREWED NOW!!!!!!!" Which I don't agree with.

I will say that if there is a sequel (and signs are pointing that way), I hope it's set somewhere else entirely and doesn't reference any characters from the first game. Their story was excellent, but it reached a good ending, and I'd hate to have another game soil that memory.

Seems I recall, seeing reference to there being others in the movie, too. Oh, I had thought there was a sequel and it had already been announced, but I don't really keep up with console games.

My take was : he did it for the most part due to his daughter not having a chance to live her life. While Elie could never romantically love anyone (if I understand correctly it's transmittable via body fluids i.e. no kissing or sex) she would at least get to live her life. Secondly my take about the whole cure was, Joel was hoping there was a way to find the cure without killing her, i.e. another doctor more capable. I thought the sequel would be about the search for another doctor, in another part of the country...world.

I only killed the one directly in front of her, that I'm pretty sure (been awhile since I played) had a scalpel in his hand. Think there were two others who backed away and I left them.

It's an interesting article, but I didn't agree with his assessment, especially the end.

Same, I liked the article and even the offshoot link to 'The Last of Us: interview with Neil Druckmann and Ashley Johnson'. Figured he just got caught up in the moment of an intense game/scene.

First time I've done it, but as PC gamer figured we would never get to play it. So I watched the movie version. I've never even watched a Twitch stream of someone else playing a game before. This was edited together so well, (if you didn't know) you never really know it's a game being played. It was like watching an animated action movie.

Spoilerly question...

PC gamer, so haven't played 'The Last of Us. Don't you get a choice about killing the doctors (I thought you could just grab her and go)? The NPR writer/Astrophysics Professor/author seems to have gotten it wrong. I'm not disputing you have to kill the doctor attacking you, but you don't have to kill 'ALL' the doctors, correct?

Seems Adam Frank went on a killing spree and blamed it on 'Joel' becoming a monster due to the environmental factors of the story and society there in.

Has it been confirmed Elder Scrolls Online developers gave up on the idea, of the console gamers being in the same world as the PC gamers? I'm just asking since, in the cities it already can be too laggy with too many players. Not to mention, too much constant server shifting (i.e. loading screens for no reasons).

Kind of looks like the love child of Rage & Fallout New Vegas.
Won't be hard for it to be better than Rage. I'm not seeing the FNV connection, unless you mean the faction associations. Still it seems more action than action RPG, at least atm.

...I just hate it when I see a game, Batman or that LotR game, or Assassin's Creed or whatever, where you are fighting a guy, surrounded by his buddies, and they just kinda stand there waiting for you to chain-execute the first guy.

The Driving looks cool, the melee combat looks.. ok, I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on this at least. Hopefully at some point you get to upgrade that deformed slave Max seems to have in the back of his car to at least get a shirt or some sun protection though.
Exactly my thoughts, I really hate beatum'ups with stand around group attacks, but the driving could be cool.
