American McGee has hardly anything to do with this game, it's been under development for 2-3 years already, and only when Enlight picked it up a few months ago, did they "add" his name to it.
And the game didn't come out of nowhere, there's been previews on it for several months already, so yea, you're losing your grip
The game is pretty damn fun though, check out the demo!

I think its just sad that they even mention the HL2 source code leak in the same press release, there is no comparison at all, game nor company wise.
Mail carriers getting knocked over the head is not really unheard of. For all they know this is just a freak accident or coincidence.
How did the perp know that the mailman was carrying the game, that specific day. Unless it was an inside job of course, and lets face it, if somebody wanted to steal their not so high profile title, they could have easily gotten it other ways then.
Like somebody said before, if the guy who took it didn't know what he stole before, by giving it media exposure, they sure hightened the possibility he now knows...
Just plain stupid.... This comment was edited on Jun 18, 15:50. |

I installed the demo myself and did not see/experience any StarForce install, nor did it require a reboot afterwards.
Worked fine without a glitch.. but then again, might just be my magic machine which automatically removes protections on the fly

This is rather odd, any time a 500+mb demo gets released it is suspicious.
Judging from the content, this sounds like the same demo/preview version that was sent to the press a month or 2-3 ago.
it IS pretty cool though (and you can sort of switch between 3rd & 1st person view) This comment was edited on May 2, 14:50. |

Encore's source file seems fubar ... none of the download mirrors/versions works as far as i know ..
I just pulled it off WP as well and notified Encore, there should be a new & (hopefully) working version soon ...

I think it is .. It "looked" good, but that doesnt mean anything. As far as i know i dont think the game scored more than a 5/10 anywhere, mostly lower ..
so yea .. good thing we get to check out a demo, unlike the console people

It's only the second mention of this title on WP, the screens (and demo) are there for people to decide by themselves whether it's worthplaying or not.
On top of that, the game is actually half decent and better than a lot of other titles mentioned on WP, or other places for that matter
And of course you are free to like or dislike any title ... This comment was edited on Dec 25, 23:06. |

this "pos" game is free and pretty damn good (and needless to say very popular, even outside of the US)
Its way better than some of the high budget/profile games out there, thats for sure

I'm not going to read through all the messages but i attended the Condition Zero launch event in San Fransisco and the Vivendi people told me ship date for CS:CZ was "Q1 2004"
The game is finished though (playing it right now), so i guess since they missed the holiday rush, they can as well release it in another few months.
