I don't get it..the game is not pointless..i mean seriously..its a freaking game...the point is to drive around and complete missions....
I think it will be nice..and I don't get the harping on the older Drivers..i mean, its a new one and from the screen shots that I have seen the graphics look pretty impressive.

Yup. They are different...just go check out the new trailers at the site and the trailers for the movies that you have to check out and you will see that they are different!!

Yeah definately pretty sweet....I like the whole questing idea in an MMO as well and I think thats one of the main reasons that I am really looking forward to playing UXO...
any word on beta?

So Creston, then in your mind, if you were at EA...what WOULD make an new Ultima game worth it???
I am just curious because from what I have read and have stated and seen it looks great.

I personally like the graphics...I think they work well to the whole fantasy idea (said that on another board post here too) and just honestly don't get the big gripe here...almost all that saw that game with their own eyes are VERY impressed, but yet here, where few have seen the game...its gripe gripe gripe. Now I am not going out to say this game is going to be the best ever- because again, I havn't seen the game, but I am going to trust those out there with their word that the game looks great and that the next Ultima game is all that because the guys there generally know their stuff. I am going to take that word to go and play the game and make up my own mind. ANyways, as I said, I think that the graphics look good. And I am excited that they have abanondonded the annoying point and click click click go to the bathroom and have a drink come back and monster is dead..that momentum thing sounds really great.

What....clearly I have not read the same reports as you because from everything I read, this game looks to be very enjoyable and back to the reasons that Ultima rose in its initial popularity....and to quote: "Ultima X picks up the storyline where Ultima IX: Ascension left off, and the focus of the game is more like the single-player Ultima games than not. Returning once again is the system of "Virtues" familiar to anyone who's played any of the games since the classic Ultima IV, eight traits meant to guide players along the right path. "
