Oh yeah, I ended up playing a lot of really old games on the VC too.

I liked the Wii ok. Waggle controls were overdone and misused but it was novel for a while. It's too bad they didn't do HD out of the gate. Now they have to release a console when nobody really wants to spend big money on much of anything.

Getting tired of the recession..

Did people really buy Wii to play Wii Sports? I bought it to play Zelda and Mario - the same reason I bought the cube (which did suck, admittedly).

I'll probably get a Wii U later for HD.

It'd be nice if it played my collection of Wii games.

I'm not busting out of the gate to buy one though. It's something that can wait a year or more.

I'm glad they're doing mod tools. This game ought to be great. Now we just have to see if they can execute all their ambition on a small budget.

I decided I could skip Taco Bell and throw my money in at the last minute. Even if the point and click adventure game genre problems persists, it's still the Two Guys from Andromeda. The deaths will be funny - and I sorta liked the new main character they made.

I don't like hunt the pixel but I don't like hunt the word either.

I like adventure games, but I don't like their gameplay anymore.

I don't know what the solution is but I wish someone would come up with one. Adding in some good replay value might help too. There's no reason a modern adventure game couldn't have harder puzzles for those who had finished it once, alternative endings, etc.

All the text cursor really did was pad the gameplay with frustrating "guess the right word combination" frustration. Most people still just spammed combinations of items on objects in the room until something happened. All moving to a mouse interface did was highlight the fundamental flaw of Sierra adventure games..

Nolan made some good Batman movies.

I don't really care what his thoughts are on digital vs. film though. That train left the station a long time ago. He can sit around in the past all he wants to. I'm sure his millions will comfort him.

It was in Norway. Was it raunchy by Norwegian standards? If not people should shut up about it. If it was then it's for Norwegians to be offended over, not the entire 'net.

The kind that is impossible to explain to simpletons who clearly feel they need to hate for hate's sake alone. Diablo created a genre. You might not like the game or the genre, thats fine. But saying that Diablo = WoW clearly demonstrates either a lack of cognitive ability or a need to be an internet asshole.

I dunno. I think Rogue created the genre. Diablo fit pretty well into that category. All it lacked was randomly created levels.

I was hoping this would go through but now it looks sort of shaky. I hope more people donate at the last minute.

Soo... Origin guy thinks I'm going to buy games from Origin because they have more cachet?

Really?

Good luck with that, pal.

I still think parenting should require a mandatory exam. Like the driver exam.

People (officials, etc.) would abuse that power guaranteed.

I don't understand how they were unable to strap a seat belt on a 3 year old.

Is the parent trying to play victim at the end?

I remember getting a lot of hours out of U7. I'm not sure I ever actually beat it.

If the game came with the "Forge of Virtue" expansion I would recommend doing that late-game. The stuff you get from it is kind of over-powered IMO.

Ultima 7 is definitely worth playing.

Ultima 7 Part 2 is worth playing.

Ultima 8 is not. Not even for $3.

The Pod Racer game was actually pretty good and I'd sort of like to have a sequel to it. As racing games went I liked it. It just suffered from some game balance problems (once you got your pod upgraded it was hard to lose) and a lack of tracks.
