The entitlement is strong with this thread.

So, to be treated as an equal customer and not as a 3rd class citizen is now considered entitlement?

Such a shallow view you have of others.
In what way are you treated unequally from other Ubi customers?

If you're a paying customer screwed by DRM software you have a legitimate gripe for the single product you were screwed out of.

Every other argument is just some variation of conscience-salve for people who want something and don't have the self-control needed to save up for it. It's easy to identify those remarks - just look for sophistry and the emotional appeals. It's thick. It's mundane. It's people doing mental gymnastics trying hard to cheat creatives out of their due.

If people want to pirate and admit they're stealing someone else's hard work, fine. It's when people act like their stealing is taking some moral high ground that drives me nuts. "I'm doing this because I'm a good person who dislikes UPlay or Origin. I'm not the one wrong here, paying nothing for the 40 hours of fun this game will give me, it's them who are wrong for providing it in a way I don't like!"

Just admit you're pirating it because you don't feel like paying the cash.

I just imagine those guys wearing fedoras and everything is explained.

When I was a kid I mowed grass to pay for games. If I didn't have enough money I mowed more grass.

I thought that was how it was supposed to work.

The only thing I don't like about the new update is that people won't stop doing the conga line so every other server you get on is just a dance simulator.

If I want to know whether a game is good I just ask somebody in a gamer forum.

Sometimes I watch Let's Play videos though, especially if I'm unsure about a game. I never watch Youtube game reviews though.

Oh geez..

It got me to reinstall the game.

It's probably the oldest game I have that I still keep going back to.

So basically cafes are mad that people aren't leaving and freeing up tables. That's fair. That's more than fair. I hate not being able to get a table because some internet addict doesn't have the courtesy to leave.

The doublespeak about the bans "encouraging community" though - that's really thin.

Yeah, The Sims is missing a major gameplay element. People have epic adventures with their dolls (ok action figures), but you can mostly only be nice in The Sims.

If I could serve up a volcano in the middle of some rich neighborhood this would be a must buy.

What I think is funny is that all the newb journalists can't remember shareware and don't know where 3DRealms and iD and Epic came out of so they act like Kickstarter is the only way to make money and none of this could have possibly existed or gotten big before the internet...

The evidence will get laid out and then it'll be settled out of court with some sharing agreement. OR is jonesing to get out before Sony has its VR unit in widespread use. They'll fold if there's any merit at all to any of the claims.

It's business as usual.

The arbitration system is messed up. Sign a contract, lose your ability to sue, get stuck in crap arbitration if something happens, hope you can afford the best retired judge to speak for you, lose, resign yourself to the gag order.

Beats is way over priced for what they offer. The only reason they sell is they advertise to the kids as a status symbol.

A perfect match for Apple...

With Facebook owning OR? No way.

Facebook's entire business is shoving ads in your face. That's all they do.

Somebody else will do VR and I'll check them out.

LOL. You will be able to buy the device and play hardcore games and never see an add. Public hysteria.

Says you.

For the record, I'm not going to wear a big fat sweaty plastic headband for any length of time, so VR is going to have to get a heck of a lot better - and be compatible with my glasses - before I'll even care. I have no horse in this race.

For two, FB didn't just buy a new technology because they felt like hopping into hardware. That isn't what they do. They're going to exploit the user base in some way. Watch and see.
