Dude..Built from a 2D perspective Starscape is a space based shoot-em-up with more than a passing nod to Asteroids
Homeworld is a 3D Strat game Very unlike Asteroids or anything else.
Wanna know why? Cause HW was the first 3D strategy game that was a mass success and it inovated the genre.
Not to say Starscape is bad game , just the oppisite its a great game that got 80s to 90s in most reviews but you cant compare it to HW2 cause its totally different game type.

After just booting back up Cat last week to get ready for this game, i wasnt expecting much by way of the screen shoots ive seen.
Nothing could be so misleading as a screenshot esp when it comes to HW2, im very suprised at the quality of this title.
Also worth mentioning they nixed the first person camera but considering the graphic upgrade i dont miss it much.
On to the Demo, well I rate it very high cause of a few things. #1 Quality #2 Skirmish single player with 2 maps #3 Waited a long time for a good space stratgey with updated graphics, near miss with Hedgemonia but right on target with HW2.

Umm yeah you can run up to the tower and get shot if you want too but..
Ive found that using tactics such as strafe works wonders on that part , I didnt get shot once and continued on to clear out everyone then went inside building and did more damage so far so good ,
I stoped it there cause i had to DnLd the homeworld2 demo but will be back for final input on this promising game.

Yeah Do sex was good for its time and still today holds up. but chrome is not bad at all so far, its WAY better than the breed demo was and I like the terrain graphics too.
but the jurys still out on it cause its got a few bugs and what not, I was sniping and doing great and all , till your warned about some chick whos unarmed then it all goes to hell , she disappears then kills you WTF is that all about?

I played MOH both for the PC and the original for the PS and i got to tell you I didnt like them too much. So why all the fanboy slobbering here, I must have missed something when i uninstalled the game a year ago just after completing the omaha beach thing. but i got bored with it, theres just too many shooters out and Ide be damn just when your half way thru one of them another one pops out just begging to be played. MOH, Tron, Stalker, Breed, Chrome,Jedi Ac, Raven shield, Contract Jack,H&D 2, yeah right, all are kinda good and all wont be played at least by me. and I can play any title I want to cause my dad owns a EB but F this crap im sticking to EQ2 beta for now and praying HalfLife2 is kinda good .

You have to give it to advertising genius, time and time agian companies have found a way to make a impact on a given audience, Those tricy gurus in marketing know that whenever you release a exclusive of anything it helps boost awareness and visibility of mostley any givin comodity. Hell if we argue over moral reasons why they have done a exclusive in the meantime we have well over 60 posts in like 15min time span thats VERY good publicity and be it positive or neg , as long as the name of said product hits the mindset of mass people tis all they or anyone else in marketing would care about.The way to stop a exclusive is simple, you dont talk about it you dont utter a word about its merits or bugs, utter silence is what these companies fear not rambling on and on about why should this one or that one get it, So go head continue this post in the fashion that were (game geeks) known for and the companies can sit back and drink a martini to it all..Cheers 8)

Im playing the demo, I never tried the original so I cant comment on that, So without further nonsence it is something i like so far and it reminds me of a game called Magic and Archon (circa 1985) is it good enough to keep me from playing AOW shadow NO. but does it stand on its own , Ide have to say yes, and thats saying alot since i dont even really like RTS im a old school RPGer and FPSer why i even try to like these games i'll never know but I do think it will satisfy alot of people.

I'll say one thing at least i did enjoy what i played when i played it, and thats all that counts right?
I mean how much do i really care if Raven, Id, Gabe Newell, John Carrmak, 3d Realms, or Derek Smart made this title or any title.
Im no fan of any company im a fan of Fun and that could come from any so, so, company that tries hard. Why people arent too satisfied is allways healthy and encourages growth, but when they start off a sentance with words like" All of Ravens this and all of Ids that" its really just copying what others have said,
you see everyone is a copycat in this damn world even people who complain about people not being original lol they are copying another persons statements almost verbatum. And why dont people say ohhh i just bought a Lexus or Bmw based on the Model T engine?
Old as it is I can't stand that theres no inovation: just a joke there people, Everything in life is a rehash and new and inovative dosent get accepted by the masses so quickley tis why people go for the Sure route , YOU WANT INOVATION then inovate something and stop telling others that is based on this Engine or that engine, so its not worth a look,
All art is based on good hand eye coordination huh i dont see people bashing Picaso , or Van Goh, that there works arent that great cause its based on the Pencil engine of Old so its to be disreguarded untill we see them draw with something new and inovative.
the problem with the world today is instant gratification and prompt satisfaction hey i dont blame ya all one bit for wanting that, but lets be constructive, just because you have a box of craola 64color crayons dosent mean the guy using pencil to draw dosent come up with an occasional masterpiece.
Remember to check current history before you spout go look at all the online winners today halflife leads the way it 4 year old tech btw. but its FUN... YOU GET IT FUN.

Considering I didnt get to finish the game cause my friend wouldnt let me the damn hog, I cant judge the hole thing here and im not trying to, but based on what I played I liked it alot. its just a opinion not meant to cause a flame war here ny prefrance in game lean towards the RPG stuff so FPS arent my main bag anyhow, laters guys it was just a opinion from a avarage FPS player hehe Oh SWG sucks major I canceled it already and now im looking foward to purchasing JediAcademy and KOTOR when there released later this year, ill prob bet that Jedi Academy will be one of the top FPS this year and not based on being Starwars either I hate Starwars Btw...... at least the last two movies i hate Loved the first three.

Oh I was laughing too hard to remember to put in proper punctuation, Im so sorry but my point remains. And there are no levels that are the same the game takes place on Planet surfaces, Underground Caves, Tram Cars flying through space, Etc... and you get to pick which level you wanna do, outta a choice of six to start with. I havent seen a FPS that gives you so many options to tailor your character there are tons of force powers and tons of weapons, All the force powers are upgradeable by three level each!! damn just when i was getting bored of FPS then came this whew... its better than JK outcast in every way bye.

ROFLMAO dont listen to this guy HE hasnt even played it yet how do I know cause im playing it and there no levers to pull or push noone and its better than JKoutcast which won awards, btw i think game of the year in some mags but its a good game and most who have played it know that. I play every FPS on the market and so far JK academy will give HL2 and DuesEx2 a run for the game of the year awards and forget this wanna be cool guy who comments and dont even play the games hehehheeh what a joke Listen up when JK academy come s out Go BUY IT.Oh btw im playing a final Beta of the game and guess what its Bug free and it screams speed and it looks better than the Unreal engine or Quake3 stuff I think they developed the game engine in house wow its fast
