Damn, that reminds me how cool STALKER was. I should play it again, sometime. Lets hope that Bioshock lives up to all the name-dropping. System Shock 2. Truly, one the best FPS/Rpg. Together with Deus Ex. |

Fuck this game. WTF?! Loose controls? CTDs?
Also why the FUCK is this called Shadowrun? I don't get it. Is it supposed to be derived from the Shadowrun PNP universe? VISTAJOB2007 aka generic shooter 101 would fit better.
Oh yah, Vista really is a pain in the ass. It keeps accessing my HD and my process shoots up to 100%. Every now and then totally at random. The problem is that it brings my machine to a crawl. Is this part of that fucking DRM bullshit? Fuck this, man.
Microsoft = Retard Logic. Upgrade your PC to use software. Said software cripples PC. Effectively negating upgrade. Tell me, why did I upgrade again? Goddamn this sucks... I'm thinking to format my HD and go back to XP, its all just a major PITA. |

Goddamn, I thought I knew cynical... but fuck, some people here at Blues take the proverbial fucking cake and shit on it.
Small wonder that many developers avoid gamer-forums. The stinking bile is simply gagging.
As for me, the idea has some merit and I am interested to see what they make of it. At least its not another bloody sequel.
My condolences to those with sensitive ears. |

Ah, thanks. Jennifer Hale. That's who I was thinking of, not Linda Carter. Mixed 'em up there.
Btw. Fall-from-Grace is a beautiful and noble character that joins your party in the RPG classic. "Planescape: Torment"
"Bastilla" was voiced by Jennifer Hale: (I have no idea what "Fall From Grace" is) |

Actually Ecthelion, Linda Carter voiced a few people in Oblivion, and each time (at least to me) I knew it was her. I will now install and play Oblivion... I love Linda Carter's voice. She did the voice for 'Bastilla' and 'Fall-from-Grace', right?
Also, Bethesda better get Ron Perlman for narrator, or else... |

First of all, this is Scott Miller and he's a good guy. GB is the cranky one.
Second. I still remember finally starting up DN3D; after hours of fighting the DOS memory manager on a P166 MHz, 16MB Ram & SB16. It was totally worth it. This was my first FPS ... So I have a soft spot for it.
If 3DRealms ever release DNF ... (LOL, yeah I know) I will be standing in line for my copy.
For me its just part of gaming history, you know?

Always bet on Greed! |

The only consoles I owned were the old NEs and Sega'Saturn.
Then I discovered PC games.
Back in 1999/2000 was the best time to be a PC gamer.
QUAKE III , Half-Life, Planescape Tormnent, Homeworld, Thief, System Shock 2, Dungeon Keeper 2, Fallout 2 and Alpha Centauri were released that year. With BG2, Carmageddon and Deus Ex the following year. Just to name a few.
Quality. Innovation and quantity.
Its 2007 A.D. ... what happened?
Imho, Microsoft are largely to blame for the gutting of PC Gaming with the release of XBox.
And Developers are blowing millions on flashy graphics for boring games. We PC gamers are then supposed to upgrade, spending mucho $$$ to be able to play buggy, incomplete and boring games, rushed for release. It's a vicious cycle.
These same Devs then complain that they can't make ends meet. And its all because of Piracy(tm).
LOL! Tell me another one.
The 'Future' of 'Gaming' is 'Pay to Play'. Fuck that.

| They both rock (DX & SS2). And I am glad to have bought and played them, too bad no-one's making similiar games in this day and age. I am still on the fence about Bioshock- being console and all. |

Normal business sense... you say... I don't give a shit what the beancounters "sense".
All I know is that original PC franchises get ported to XBOX, then ported back to PC. E.g: DE:IW & Thief3. Effectively killing the franchise.
In some cases (e.g: CoD3,Crimson Skies,Midtown Madness) a sequel to PC series is console only. WTF!!!
PC games != Console games. |

Only want to echo Creston here. Thanks for the heads-up, I was thinking about picking it up too. But if this is how they treat legitimate customers... they can fuck off.
And NO, I won't be pirating the game either, I'm cool like that.
Anyway, there's alot of other stuff I can blow my cash on. Like Supreme Commander? |
