Alrighty.. I'm picking this bad monkey up ASAP. Dedicated servers.. good.. mod tools.. fuck yeah!
It's amazing how much mod tools and allowing the community to keep the game fresh really helps me stay interested in the current title and then want to buy the follow up titles. (hello BC2 i'm talking to you)
I just need to finish up New Vegas before Black Ops hits. |

Do i need to post my tirade again on why this game failed? At least the devs said that they'd be open to servers with no lock on as a server toggle.. I mean, which fucking console fanboy godawful FPS-playing dev decided to put a mechanic in a shooter that automatically fucking locked your reticle on an enemy and allowed you to just pull the trigger without aiming.. at all?
The idiot fanboys at the site said it was okay.. to learn to adapt..I told them it was a game breaking mechanic.. I was right.
Things they need to fix.. IIRC..
-no lock on .. at all
-make bases worth owning
-better organic defenses
-better deployables.. they were a joke
-lessen the amount of shit that happens at once.. 4 bases.. 4 side missions.. and you have 12 people on your team to handle all that?
-manage the damage weapons do vs every item in the game.. sniper rifles shouldnt be able to destroy a turret from across the map with 2 shots.
-bigger bases.. with more internal areas..old bases were empty and bland
-fix the god damn server browser
-allow private servers to be stood up, without issue.. and without backdoor assistance from a dev friend (yes, that happened) for everyone
-stop listening to the same 5 fanboys that don't know shit about an FPS.. listen to real veterans, not ass-kissing fuckfaces
wait wait... they are using GFWL again? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH idiots.. fucking learn your lesson!

Even the official MoH forum is riddled with well thought out posts on why they the game isn't very good. I know i tried it, but damn, I didn't like it much either, it just doesnt feel like the features match the gameplay/gamespeed at all.. it really feels 2nd rate.
Back on topic...
I hope BO really feels 'right'.. they have everything going for them right now.

Well dangit.. this does not bode well. Looking at BC2.. without charging us for any updates they did have, and then some months later coming out with the Vietnam expansion, just something as simple as allowing the community to create and use their own maps would've kept me interested in the title.
Now though, I have zero desire to play BC2 at all, and because of that, I have no desire to pick up Vietnam either.
It wasn't like they didn't allow us to create our own maps because they ere releasing their own map packs and charging us.. so i really don't understand the idea of not allowing us to create our own content at all. No money would've been missed out on nor lost. Puzzling

If they aren't allowing custom content in any form.. I'm passing, as BC2 got very stale very quick with the same old same old.
It appears to me (unless I'm way off), that CoD BO is allowing custom content.. and that's going to get them my money. |
