Go ahead and try the demo for yourself. Don't go on a reviewers words alone or blindly buy it. I enjoyed EE1 to some extent. EE2 sucked, this one is even worse if you can believe it. Worst UI I've seen in quite a while, tons of bugs with unit movement, unsatisfying battles and units, etc.
i normally do, but seeing comments from each of you as they are assure me that it's not even worth d/l the demo.

Uh, it's a game. It's sole purpose is to entertain you and be a time killer. An escape from the real grind - your life. and if you real life isn't a grind, you wouldn't be wasting time playing games. you'd be out in the sun or with your kids and family. how we choose to waste our time is our own decision.

do you have the option to put the camera above as in Diablo 1 or 2? instead of follow mode of first person, can i look down on the action and play that way?
i tend to suffer from motion sickness from particular views (which is why i'm still playing WoW).
Oh, and is there cooperative play?

I'm a huge Diablo fan, so that ties it for me. I've never played Planescape. I think i'll definitely be picking this up then.

Great info Maldo.
What recent game is it most like?
Is it single or multiplayer?
This may sound strange, but i tend to get motion sick with a lot of games, specifically in first person view, so this interested me not just b/c of the viewpoint, but because i'm playing WoW right now and suprisingly, still enjoying it. is this gonna make me want to toss my cookies 20 minutes into it and wish i'd not blown the $50?
it sounds great! I love an immersive RPG.

I've not been able to find any reviews that are up to date saying why it's great or it sucks. Searches bring up nothing. Anyone have links to some decent reviews?

ok, i gotta ask.
I get pretty bad motion sickness from first person points of view. thus, i cant really play FPSs any longer. any chance that i'd be able to get thru Portal? listening to all of ya'll go on about it is making me jealous.
Can i pick up portal on its own?

it seems longer than ten years. Q2 was the one i played most. part of a ctf clan. i dont remember the last time i got a rush from playing a game like i did before a clan match would start.

this is the only fun part in some MMOs *cough*CoH*cough*.
part of the fun of playing the game is spending the hour creating the avatar and not just dragging my NE Hunter over from WoW to some game that he would look silly in.

when does T.O. not drop the ball? he might be Romo's bestest buddy in the whole world, but he's the worst investment Jones ever made for our team. Aside from the tuna. we went to bed 5 minutes before the game ended last night cause we were so pissed off and knew we weren't going to win it. guess that'll teach me.

there wasnt a day that went by that i didnt double click that gamespy icon and then wait 20 minutes to find a decent BF42 server. Or worse yet, CS.
My favorite was QPong though. Something about railing a huge ping pong ball up a chute to try and score a goal. god, i loved that mod.
