OK, I am a sucker for the movies Aliens and Predator. I thought the AVP movie was appalling, a disaster by any standards and as unfit for consumption as any work by Uwe Boll himself.
I'm inclined to agree. It was apalling. But after seeing some of the trailers for the new one, I think i'll definitely see it.

You probably don't want to know more until you've played it, unless you're sure you never will (which would be a shame).
i doubt i will. i have an ever increasing case of motion sickness when playing FPSs and dont think i'll ever get around to it.

Maybe i wasn't awake yet, but i swear i heard a quote from Bush this morning basically saying "fuck em. the government isn't going to bail out those idiots that can't afford to pay their mortgage and made a bad choice."
i'd only had a cup of coffee, so i may have imagined the whole thing.

Huh, well, disabling the extensions only did one thing. Instead of opening two windows, it opened in one window, but separate tabs. But uninstalling two old themes seemed to do the trick. Dont ask me how, but that seems to have fixed the problem.

Question for you Firefox users.
Does anyone else have the problem of clicking a link in email or a document and Firefox opening two windows? Mine always opens a tiny little 1x1" window in the top left corner of my screen and then a second, full sized window. Both windows display the link, but for the life of me, i cant figure out why it opens two windows and a tiny one in the corner.

i didnt enjoy 2 as much as the original.
i remember standing in the corner for hours trying to find the perfect second to get thru the doorway across from me as guards passed by so as to not alert them and have them call for backup. made my heart race.
the only other game that got me that worked up was the original Fatal Frame. that game would make me piss myself and i loved it for it.

even completely maxed out it looks like a game from 5yrs ago. That's not to say graphics are more important than gameplay but considering people are constantly pouring money in the least Blizzard could do is keep updating the graphics engine - Valve did with HDR, multicore support, etc, and that was for free.
Well, the game is 3 years old this month and it was in development for what, another 3 years prior? so yeah, it's showing its age, but Blizz never has been about the most gorgeous graphics. But it's easy on the eyes and it's nice to be able to play a game totally maxed out without it taking a toll on your pc.
I'm looking forward to this patch. I just started an alt two weeks ago and hit 32 last night, so it'll make leveling much easier. and not such a painful grind. Especially when he hits the 40s when it gets so bad, you'd rather give up than keep playing.

oh, i dug Keaton as Batman. I thought he did a nice job. Even Jack was fun as the Joker. then again, it's hard not to like much of anything Jack does.

i like Wahlberg as an actor as well. Shooter was a great film for action and most of what he's done in the last few years has been pretty good. i think he's still trying to outlive his marky mark stereotype from the old days. let's hope they don't mess up this movie.
