The Adam West Batman movie was better than that Schumacker shit. At least it didn't take itself seriously. But i bet we've got at least a few more films for Bond before it gets ridiculous again.

I don't know if this is the case for you, but I have a close friend who returned soemthing like four high-end monitors (though these were CRTs) several years ago for a similar problem before figuring out that they were programmed to do this intentionally when really bright images were displayed (like a lot of white) in order to protect the monitor from burn-in or something like that.
I figured this was what was happening and was probably a setting somewhere, but i wanted to see if anyone had experienced the same thing. It doesnt occur in games or other apps, but seems to be only when i'm on the www.

Now that you bring up the 226BW, has anyone had the occurrence of when you open a site page (any) that the screen noticeably dims? Almost like it's taking the brightness out so as to not disturb the eyes. I dont know if it's the monitor or the adjustment software that came with it.

had enough of Vista |

After almost an entire year running Vista on a Dell i bought last february, i reinstalled XP on it this weekend. I understand growing pains and issues and quirks with a new OS, but this has gone above and beyond any "breaking in period" i've ever experienced with the OS. Friday night, the pc wouldn't boot up because "critical .dll" files had been corrupted (to numerous to list) and it wouldn't even get to the windows screen. I can't tell you how many times i've reinstalled Vista on this box over the past year because of corruption, incompatabilities, bad patches, etc. I wiped the drive (which took almost 12 hours) and installed a brand new copy of XP on it. It's running like a charm.
NO ONE HEX ME!!!!! 
edit: That's to bad about Suzanne. That woman was still sexy even in her later years.

You won't regret it Bats, it's an outstanding monitor. It's beautiful in ways you never thought you'd see. And with that price, you're practically getting it for free.

ok guys, need some opinions and suggestions, please.
I'm thinking of booking a short vaca in chicago for my wife and i. I'm looking for suggestions on hotels, locations to visit, restaurants, etc. I've looked at all the booking agencies like priceline, expedia and others, but the ratings all seem very cold and inhuman. I've heard the summer's a nice time to go and i need to try a chicago dog and some pizza.

funny you should say that as i was that way with NIN up until Spiral. I had every bootleg, import and B-side known to man. then i got tired of carrying them around every time i moved.
