Blame piracy all you want, the fact is that most PCs could'nt even run the damn game at an acceptable framerate, and I would guess the a lot of those downloading the patches or trying out the game are just benchmarking their pc and should not be counted as a lost sale. Some of them might even want to see if there is some magical patch that suddenly makes the game playable on a normal-level pc so they can go out an buy it.. assuming the game got rid of any copy restriction technologies infecting the title..
Anyone who still believes in Digital RESTRICTION Management technologies should be put in an lunatic asylum, or in the very least called a fucking moron and put in the corner of shame, with the funny hat on for good measure.
Edit:
If they wanted to make a benchmarking tool for PCs they should'nt have slapped a 70$ price tag on it and infected it with copy restriction malware.
In addition, a few probably bought a lot of new hardware to run the damn game, including some pirates.. so maybe Nvidia and AtI, whoever you partnered with to create this monstrosity should give them a little 'cut' of their profits for helping them sell 3D Toasters.

Well, I think i'll just stick to GTA4 on the console, even though GTA's on the PC been fun, the multiplayer component on the PC version will undoubtedly suck because the people making/in charge of it are bastards.
Outcome a: Its made to work with console, this guarantees a large pool of players, but it will be marred with lots of problems connecting, browsing servers and hosting your own.
Outcome b: It does not work with the console version, which means very few servers since everyone is playing it on the console, the ingame browser will probably still suck (especially if its Gayspy), and.. well, its just bad.
In short: The end is nigh.

Well, there was a lot of promising aspects of the game..
unfortunately it looked like shit.. and had a few other lacking areas as well..
like the sleep inducing long treks into nowhere to get to elsewhere.. .. I have never fallen asleep while playing a game so many times as I did with Shadowbane.
I'd actually recomend it to people who have problem falling asleep.. no problem, play Shadowbane.. Zzzzz

Nothing wrong with bots or ebays.

Sorry Wings.. but you fucked up so much with Söldner I wont even look at the add-on.
And I am sure that this goes for many others.. when you ask "why wont you look at our fabulous add-on"..
You ruined Söldner! A game which we had so high hopes for and wanted to play so much. You destroyed all that was good in the world and replaced it with filthy publisher slop. You blackened our sun and salted our lands - lands that were full of hope for Söldner and the fun we would share.

Dumbing down titles is in a way like this:
A restaurant with 4 stars in the Micheleng guide will perhaps have 12.000 visitors a year, and be regarded as one of the best restaurants in the world.
THe local McDonalds will serve 45.000 vistors, and worldwide many millions.
Will people say that McDonalds serve better food than the 4 star restaurant?
