By the way, I'm coming up on 1000. What's my free prize?

According to Bronco's official Blue's News Reward Program - http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=userinfo&user=10139&boardid=1 - banddirector will be owed one eye poke. Not to mention...

A (free) night with the Post Gigolo!

OR the cash equivalent: three coupons for 20 cents off canned peas.

I know what ya mean Zath, but in the way my brother in law loves Ferrari's if he had a choice between Identical Ferrari's except one was made in Italy and one was made in a Ferrari plant in Ohio (for sake of argument), he would pick the one made in Italy.

Yeah, but to compare apples to apples... if one cost $90,000 and the other cost $30,000 I doubt he would be that against buying and owning the identical but cheaper car.

Yeah.. I mean really, how valuable could the stone be if it wasn't dug out of the ground by slave labor under the watchful eye of the agents of a brutal dictatorship? I wouldn't even consider buying a diamond unless it came with a certificate stating just that!

Oh that's good! Even though arguing the point is, well, pointless, that is a good argument. I'm just trying to figure out how it gets thrown back into the guys face - like if a typical guy thing, say all expensive stainless steel BBQs, were made by orphans in Bangladesh.

ooops - forgot I also own the one with Arnie in it - got it as a gift, I think.

Was it a joke gift or did the person simply hate you?

I don't see how you could with anything else.

I used my Logitech wheel and pedals and had no problem.

I really enjoyed Flatout 1, the only thing I would ask for would be the option of owning more than one car, especially after "beating" the game. I liked a heavier car for racing and a light one for the high jump (the only mini-game I enjoyed).

Congrats on the new Ford, I used to have an '87 Ranger that was a very good truck.

The Honda Ridgeline strikes me as a "girly" truck and looks too much like the Avalanches, which I personally don't like.

I don't know, I kind of like it - functionality wise anyway. I definitely like the idea of the storage area under the pickup bed, not to mention the fact that it's made by Honda which means it'll probably spend less time at the garage then your average truck.

First off, great post Zathrus. I couldn't agree more.

Why am I a tardo?

Relax, they're not talking about you... at least not in that sentence.

Would appear he's doing them himself.

Yep. Hey KK, you need to make the asterisks red and do the whole thing in bold - let me try:

That is what I get for posting in the middle of studying (and leaving half way through and comming back to it)....

It's just too bad that they don't teach any English classes in that diploma mill you're going to.

Your girl friend and/or wife and/or sister listened to me last night when I told her to forget all the manners she has learned and to talk with her mouthful.

It was my cousin, and when I asked her about it she did admit to throwing up in her mouth. I really didn't want to hear any more but she kept talking anyway... "It was weird and misshapen, like nothing I'd ever seen... only smaller." It made no sense really but visiting hours were over and that place she's in gives me the creeps so I got out of there.

22. Re: Still hot Jul 24, 2006, 15:25 WarPig

Until this heat wave, I think it has actually been a relatively cool summer here in California.

Same here in Washington, and our spring was very cool which means that all the rivers are now flowing like mad since the snow-pack never melted as much as usual. People are drowning like crazy around here on what would be nice lazy rafting trips which are now very dangerous. A guy I work with just found out this morning that a girl he saw hanging onto a limb out in the river probably drowned (if it's the same girl) and there was nothing they could do to help as his raft shot by as they frantically tried to paddle over. There were people on shore and he was hopeful that she was going to be rescued. So anyway, he really feels like shit this morning.

Banddirector, how hot did it get in Wenatchee yesterday? We hit 112.

Blues News is easily the best video game website around, and has no need to link to this kind of violence.

Nice, Jack Thompson would be proud. A little advice: if you don't want to see any particular thing...

don't buy it

change the channel

turn it off

don't play the game

oh, here's one - DON'T CLICK ON IT

See, then leave those same decisions to the rest of us to make for ourselves.

But they suddenly (2 weeks ago) decided that they needed all the devs to put in some extra hours. Entirely voluntary of course. But please work until 9 pm on the following days.

Oh, and don't forget, reviews are this month.

What a bunch of crap. Something like that would have me sniffing around for other job opportunities. I mean it's not like they're not going to start pulling that crap more and more now that they know they can.

I agree - I thought it was enjoyable. Got it for $8 though. Even at say $15 or so I would say it was worth it.

Now that my big project at work is finally winding down (proof being that I'm actually taking a lunch right now) maybe I will finally get HL2 ep1, plus maybe Sin and Prey. Nothing like getting to work at 5 to 6am every morning and not getting home until 7 or 8pm to kill any notion of gaming.

The thing is though, in a way I guess I kind of like the pressure. Yesterday I didn't have much to do and it really made me NOT want to come to work today. While I was swamped, work pretty much became my life but it did give me a focus and purpose that made a 12hr day go by faster than today's 8hr day will. It makes it a little more clear to me how people who win the lottery and quit their jobs tend to screw up their lives.

I'd still like to give it a shot though.

I'm just a love machine, and I won't work for nobody but you... YEAH BABY!

In other news, I have mice on my desktop. Literally. I had to put Decon out on my desk today at work because I have a couple mice, who come right out in plain view, scurrying around behind my computer and printer. I actually saw one of them pick up a piece of the Decon (mouse poison), sniff it, and put it down without eating it. Probably because there's still plenty of the nuts and Chex mix that the little bastards STOLE from me.

I do own a pellet pistol...

bastards.

Your storm is now over Yankee stadium as I type this...

For my homepage I have a "my yahoo" page set up with the top news stories, local weather, stock prices, tech news, sports news and scores, some comics, blah blah blah. It loads fast and gives me a quick look at what's going on.
