In one way it's something of a relief as Heather and her aunt (mom's sister) can stop fighting Mom to try and get her to eat, to take her meds, to stop drinking (yes, she's still drinking), etc. -- it just doesn't matter now.
I'm so sorry - what a terrible yet all too common situation your family finds itself in right now. It's sad enough when a loved one seems hell bent on ruining their own lives but it's sadder yet how they end up affecting the ones that love them.

Hey 'Pig, can you say back into the playoffs?
I was watching the game over at my Dad's and my step-brother's girlfriend announced that she just knew the Chargers were going to score. Just as I started to tell her that we were going to win Rivers threw the ball to Jackson and shut my pie-hole right up.
But yeah, as painful as that was - and it was painful - I thought the Hawks finally played a somewhat consistent game, at least intensity wise. San Diego is a really good team and Seattle finally looked like a decent team also.

Speaking of fun weather, last night I called my step-brother (who lives in the heart of Seattle) to find out what to get his daughter for Christmas and found out he was on day three of having no electricity. The storm that hit Washington Thursday night left a good million people without power. Anyway, they just moved into a hotel room with their hyperactive five year old who's school also has no power. Good times!

I think Fantastic Voyage would make a pretty awesome computer game. I'm surprised nobody has done it before now.
Yeah man, a Fantastic Voyage game could be pretty damn cool and possibly educational at the same time. You could go on timed missions to do specific operations... yeah, I could see that being a fun game.

You can’t spell SUCKS without the combined efforts of the Seahawks and Broncos.
The Seahawks have played one good half of football in the last four games (second half against the Packers) and somehow won two of those games. I think the offense could get better as it slowly gets healthy, but there's no explaining why the defense has gotten so much worse than last year.

You know, I am kinda with Bats on this one.
I am too, but only in the sense of how much national attention has been put on the story. But that's just my opinion. Where I don't agree with Batman is with this line:
