Lidsville... |

... yet another LSD fueled fever dream of a show from the minds of Sid and Marty Krofft!
Even though I was in the prime demographic for Lidsville I don't remember really being into the show. I do remember watching a lot of H.R. Pufnstuff though. You have to realize that back then we only had a few channels to choose from and any cartoons or kids programming of any kind was quite a treat for us. Coming across an actual Bugs Bunny or Woody Woodpecker cartoon was pure heaven.

But by leaving the cover off, the bugs didn't use it. My guess is that without the cover a black BBQ easily reaches temps exceeding 120F (if it's sitting in direct sunlight) which is probably way too warm for most wasps.

Where did that other 21% go? 4% - A job
6% - Low self esteem (desperation, historically poor choices in men, etc.)
11% - Willingness to drop restraining order

Ahhhh, the Urban Dictionary. For some wholesome family fun, gather the clan around the computer and read aloud all of the terms that start with the word "Cleveland".

So wait... there's a time when you're not all hopped-up on goofballs?!?! Very good question. Although Halsy, errrr, Cutter prefers the term the goofballs, as in, "there's a time when you're not all hopped-up on the goofballs?"

Wiiiiiiiiiiiii Costco |
May 1, 2007, 20:25 |

Stopped by Costco after work to check out LCD TV's (possible Mother's Day gift) and lo and behold, a whole pallet of Wii's! This bundle comes with Zelda, Wii Sports, two remotes, and a nunchuk for $329. I have no idea if that's a good deal or not, although I figure it probably is coming from Costco and all, so I grabbed one. The sales girl asked if I had been waiting for one (not really) because they just arrived today and they were the only units in the area.
Anyway, I thought I'd pass it along in case anyone is looking and has a Costco nearby.
Oh yeah, I also picked up Medal of Honor... AND some Roundup weed killer... AND some golf gloves. So I went into the store just to scope out a future big purchase and ended up spending $540 in stuff I didn't even know I needed. Yes, needed!
Ok, now to set this pig up - and throw out my coffee table, it's just going to be in the way now.

So Blue, what were you hoping the Giants would go after, an offensive lineman?

I see Meatforce is back. How was the trip Meat? I can't remember exactly where you went but I do remember it was a better place than where I've been.

Very cool Warhawk, although I still think you should have sprung for an indoor bathroom.

Nuke your cookies...
edit: Not just uncheck, but delete them... Thanks nin, it worked. I just went into my Blue's News cookies and was able to guess which ones to delete without nuking all of them.

I've got a strange little problem going on with the message boards right now. In Firefox (2.0.0.3) when I try to change the display order of the messages (from "oldest first" to "newest first"), it will change at the time that I do it but always reverts back to "oldest first" as soon as I get out and come back into the boards. In IE 7 it works fine. And yes, I did check whether or not the save cookies box is still checked. All other settings are being remembered, including "launch links".
Any ideas?

He did it because he was batshit insane... and we don't need to glorify that. I agree that they shouldn't have shown it, but at the same time - and I hate to admit this - last night was the first time I've watched NBC Nightly News in a long, long time.
I think it's only human to want to: (1) see the freakshow, and (2) to try to understand what can't be understood.
One thing that always gets me in these situations is when people say, "I just don't understand how someone could do something like that". To that I always respond with, "Well, I hope you don't, if you did understand you would probably be out there doing the same thing".

nin, if you don't have one I'm sure you know someone who has a multimeter you can borrow to see if the PS is putting out any power. Is there a maintenance dept. where you work? If so, take the PS to work and have it checked. Hell, take the thing in to Radio Shack under the guise of, "do you sell these", and then ask nicely if you can check it out with one of the multimeters in the store.
And then hope to hell it is fried, because the alternative will probably cost you more than $20 (unless there's an internal fuse blown inside there somewhere).
