First off, Happy Birthday Frans! Have a great one. 
How does Al Pacino make the list of Worst Actors? I know it's just for 2008 but c'mon he doesnt belong next to Larry the Cable Guy....does he?
IMHO, since Scent of a Woman Pacino has for the most part been doing that same overly intense character over and over again. I half expect him to yell out "HoooAhhh" in all his roles now. That may not be fair though because maybe those are the only characters that he's being cast as these days, plus I think most all well known actors get to a point where the public has a hard time accepting them in roles that don't fit their image.

I was reading reviews for a cell phone and came across this gem...
"I have this phone in purple, I returned it once because of the poor battery life; still did the same thing. Some times the battery last for 2 days other time I use it for a day and it needs to be recharged, I don't use it very much. My husband has it in black and he does not have this problem, don't know if it is because of the color, but I am returning them both for different phones."

I sure know I'm glad that I live on the west coast when it comes to being a sports fan. If I did live on the east coast I probably would have to do the DVR thing (I don't even own one now) but then I'd also have to insulate myself from the world so as not to find out who won, because once I know that I lose a lot of interest in watching the actual game.

No, I swear it wasn't me. It did happen less than a mile from my house though. I thought it was a maybe a little harsh to throw the guy in jail just for that but then read that he also had an "unrelated misdemeanor warrant".

Yep, Merry Christmas everyone.
I hope everyone's holiday was as great as mine. Spent yesterday playing cribbage and gin rummy with my dad - all the while eating of course. Today I visited Mom who cooked me an awesome roast with mashed potatos & gravy and a Dutch apple pie. When she asked me what I wanted for a vegetable side dish I said, "the vegetable oil in the margarine I'm slathering on the dinner rolls works for me". |

When I was young my mom always urged me to ask my Great Uncle about his participation in the Battle of the Bulge, and much to my regret, I never did.
Of course not all vets want to talk about what they went through, especially to a kid. Plus if he really started to vent you might have ended up running away crying. That being said, I still understand your regret. |

If you're an NFL fan, you have to love days like today with the division rivalry rematches. The triple-header here today is Bills-Jets, Steelers-Ravens, and Giants-Cowboys. Great stuff.
I can't believe you left out the game I'm watching - Seahawks vs. Rams. It's the Draft Pick Bowl.

Downloading something doesn't necessarily mean you will actually get around to playing it.
Complete.utter.rubbish. How surprising.
I don't pirate games but I've downloaded more than a few free demos that I've never got around to installing. Of course to me there's a big difference between a free demo and a game I buy, but to someone who pirates every game that comes down the pike I could see them looking at their ill gotten booty in the same way I would look at a free demo. Because really, every game is just a free demo to them. |

I can't play FPS's without RMB moving me forward.
Why force someone who's been using the same interface for fifteen years learn a new way to do it?
This was my big issue with the game also, but now after this patch, I also have HUGE graphical issues that didn't exist before the patch. I'm guessing now that the latest ATI drivers are not just recommended but required. Hopefully that's all it is.
Back to the keyboard mapping. Why would any key or mouse button be left out of the mix? Is there a technical reason or is it just laziness? Another key that can't be mapped is the left Alt key - which I've always used for jumping (I've always set my fingers on the ZXC part of the keyboard for side to side and reverse movements).
It isn't like we're going to stop playing all our other games where we can still use the setup that we're used to, which is why "hey dude, just learn a new setup" isn't that easy. |
