That was "fixed" a long time ago, mainly with the addition of controllable heroes and, more recently, the ability to play with a full party of your own heroes– no NPC henchmen or live players needed.

I picked up GW again last year after not playing for a while and have since finished the main campaign, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North all without ever joining a single MP group. Parts (like the EotN dungeons) can be frustrating playing by yourself, but grouping with other players is by no means mandatory.

You say that as if UbiSoft wasn't already corrupted. They're so far beyond corruption now, they're practically the root of evil.

ASeven's talking about the developer, Related Designs, not the publisher. Aside from the annoying disappearing multiplayer in Anno 1503, this was a great series and by all accounts, this one is excellent too.

Ah, misread it then, my apologies. Are they under contract or something? If the game are that good (personally I never gave them a shot specifically because of Ubi), and the ire against Ubi from the community seems great enough, it seems that if they could switch publishers it would be to their benefit.

Now that word is out that support is terrible, GFWL, and blah blah-peeps are avoiding it.

And it's not Steam exclusive, which makes a massive difference.

It's also been on sale for $20-$25 a lot in the last 4 weeks at various non-Steam vendors.

I haven't had any issues with Arkham City, nor have I heard of any widespread problems, nor have I heard about poor support.
