Damn it , I saw jets---they ruined BF2.
Hopefully there is a server side option to turn them off and at the very least a one shot missle that does tons damage requiring them to land to repair with a long repair timer as well. Not that fly over the airfield/carrier and have instant repair. As well they should have to land to rearm, again with a long timer before they can take off again.
Game looks sweet though |

Single Player or Multi or both????????
Not a real fan of RTS---easy to exploit,mine,use macros or just being the Flash with a mouse take most of the fun away in MP

So you fly a civlian chopper around city maps? And the game is--how many executives can you get from tower 1 to tower 2 or follow hydro lines looking for weakness, or maybe give traffic reports, or take tourists for rides over Niagra falls??? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!
WTF?--not much to get me to buy--now bring back/update Apache or Gunship (as mentioned) and you got a sale. |

As long as they make jets a server side option. In other words they can be turned off by the servers owners. So many great BF2 maps and games ruined by the jet whores. Infantry only maps were overkill-no vehicles at all--WTF!

I've seen reviews mention that they even reused the same map layouts several times over for different areas.
They removed/dumbed down most non-combat skills like Persuasion. Rogues can no longer set traps and are not needed to scout. I don't even know if poison and potion making are still in.
Your basis for say he's wrong is what? The fact that they put in an awesome button?
And I've seen reviews that are more positive. Did you choose to ignore them as well as ignore invasive DRM and all that has been proven about securerom?
Each to their own.
BTW are you playing it (bought and installed) or just posting what others have said somewhere?

The 1st legitimate reviews are more positive than what has been posted by most here. And guess what-they have actually played the game.
So you're saying all the things broken in the demo are magically fixed in the retail game?
Yep-- the short pre-release'demo' doesnt' show all the game can do or it's options. Read a couple of the posts from those that have played both. So unless you have access to both and have actually compared and tried both, you conclusions are base on your own very limited exposure to the game as well as your own personal bias.
That being said--of course it may not be what PC gamers expect--but that's the norm now due to the dumbing down for the console peeps. |
