Are they re-designing all the assets so they make sense to a plane of this era?

AA, ground vehicles, ground targets, enemy/friendly air, etc?

I wish these reviews were categorized by whether its PC, xbox etc... because many of these reviews are based off xbox copy of the game, I am impressed by early reviews but again need more in depth PC copy reviews.

Blue specifically stated the first 3 reviews were PC editions. As for the rest and whether they are PS3 or Xbox, no real distinction neeeded.

I strongly urge anyone who has not gotten Terraria to take the plunge! It is such a gem and will remind yourself why you got into gaming in the first place.

Unfortunately, from what I read in the blurb, this situation is hardly unique to the gaming industry.

Unpaid Overtime? Middle Management taking credit for hard work of others? Yup, can find that in most job sectors.

Even if the numbers are a few MILLION off, they are still pulling in Casino-like cash flow every month.

And you know what, they deserve it. For all the crap this game gets, the fact remains nothing has been able to top it. I'm not even a huge fan of it's graphical style. But back when I played it, that did not matter because it got so many things right.

I don't really understand the grindfest, too carebear, too hardcore, blah blah complaints. The game is good because it offers a bit of something for anyone depending on what they are looking to get out of it and how much time they want to put in.

I played the vanilla release for a couple years and have taken a year long break or so before having some fun with it again when a new expansion comes out.

I'll probably do the same again...

It's clearly the ONLY anti-armor weapon being used right now and it is most effectively used against infantry, not armor. I will support any tweak that changes that.

The Gustav is fine, it has a long reload time and is easily countered. It's the explosion splash/power perk that's the problem.

Disagree on Gustav, agree on explosion power pack.

Gustav still needs scope zoom nerfed and speed of projectile nerfed.

Ugh, no nerf for the Gustav?

This game is practically broken with how ridiculous it is on "hardcore."

Keanu Reeves in that first fail picture?

Heh, they might not have noticed it when choosing the photo, but it's surely part of the latest internet meme.

Heh, that explains it. I thought maybe him being in the stands was why the picture was taken in the first place. And here I thought it was some crazy coincidence.

<shakes fist at photoshop>

Ugh, I hate it when industry pundits try and conjure up big themes for an otherwise already dead or pointless horse.

The Apache video: Disturbing.
How it ties into Gaming: Welcome to 7+ years ago when these Apache gun cams started popping up. His "review of the morality of his actions" in MW2 with "specifically labeled enemies", and conclusion that he was "in moral boundaries" was comical at best.

Misguided writers like this are giving us the problem in the first place by feeling a need to justify moral right or wrong in a GAME. If I fly a flight sim and purposefully don't fully complete the pre-flight checklist and something goes wrong, I've killed my virtual passengers! Oh, let me debate my moral compass on that.

Video games should tell a story and if that story includes a well written morality lesson, so be it. Leading to the only point where he is coherent, which is don't censor the games that have a possibility of providing that story, such as Six Days in Fallujah.

Pick it up yesterday. Is it me or is dying, a lot, common place in this game? I remember being much better at FPS games. I'm shooting at enemies at point-blank range, and leading my shots, and sniping enemies in the head. When the kill-cam shows the target their health is 9%, 22%, 54% and so forth so I know I'm hitting them, but why aren't they dying? Do they have some sort of armor buff?!

Aside from that the fully destructible maps are AWESOME! It's amazing to watch your base get completely owned by tank artillery and aerial bombardments. Even mortar blasts leave "holes" in the terrain.

Well, problem is, the "noob" weapons for lack of a better word is like bringing a knife to a gun fight when you are going up against some of the later unlocks. And yes, there are bullet and armor upgrades as well. Just keep plugging away, have fun as a combat medic or something and the unlocks come quickly.

I was all ready to get out my "at least she is in the right place" joke after seeing her fall on her face.

I was strangely disappointed that I mistook the word "trip".
