else having a great friggen weekend? Went and saw X-Men 3. Not the greatest in the trilogy, but not bad either (and WAY ahead of those Matrix sequels). I used to be somewhat of a comics geek so there are a few parts that are disturbing (rather not give any spoilers) - some of the effects are hit and miss - and it does seem like they tried to pack too much in the time alotted - but on the whole I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. Can't wait to buy it on DVD.

...but there are trenches and holes in our street from all the recent excavation around here that are filled with dirt temporarily as they await repaving… you would not believe just how much mud is welling up and floating around out there. Since nin can't put the van down by the river, he's bringing the river to the van! This comment was edited on May 13, 02:43. |

I doubt anyone would say much of anything negative at all if they announced Shadowrun as a first person RPG. Exactly. People would be jumping for joy if Shadowrun was like Vampire: Bloodlines (with less bugs) or Deus Ex.
When I think of FASA I don't think of them in terms of "veteran squad-based shooter developers". If they pull it off, hey great, good for them. But at this point my mental gaming bullshit meter is indicating SR will be "crap".

I wasn't particularly blown away with the graphics, although what they are doing with the game itself by giving magic to fps sounds interesting, so the gameplay could save it, although a max of 16 players on a server really blows. The last FPS to attempt to incorporate magic was called Purge, and that game was a piece of shit. The magic seemed like it added nothing to the gameplay at all.
From reading the website, Shadowrun gives me the impression that it will be mainly like Team Fortress, only with fantasy style races and spells. For that I think I'd rather play Savage 2 when it comes out, since it has the added twist of some RTS elements. Unless a demo comes out that blows me away, I'm not going to be convinced that Shadowrun as a FPS is a good idea. We shall see.

VTo mark the tenth (1996-2006) year anniversary of the Battlecruiser franchise which started it all... Yes space cadets, this is the series that spawned all the forged racist emails! All the threats of legal action and physical abuse! All the long winded forum posts that make absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever!
Pre-order now and get a crushed Coca-Cola can, a fake PhD suitable for framing (autographed by Mr. Smart himself), a Mars rock (actually a kidney stone passed by Mr. Smart), and a coupon for one free taco.
On the release date, Derek will randomly pick one customer's name from a hat, and that lucky winner will receive their very own libel lawsuit!
NOTE: Employees of Take Two Interactive, Interplay, and Dreamcatcher Games are ineligible for the pre-order offer, but may enter the lawsuit drawing as many times as they wish.
But to REALLY celebrate the 18th re-release of Battlecruiser 3000AD, the product will ship on two 3-1/2 inch floppy disks. All the original show-stopping bugs are included for those nostalgic for the days of Derek's first epic space simulation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Windows Vista with DirectX 10 Liquid-nitrogen cooled dual-core Intel processor running at 4.0 Ghz or equivalent AMD processor 8 GB RAM 1 GB graphics card with pixel & vertex shader 3.0 or Quad-SLI/Crossfire setup DirectSound compatible sound card CDROM or DVD-ROM}+
