When officers went to investigate, there was a physical altercation between police and 26-year-old Gerardo Diego Ayala that ended with a fatal officer-involved shooting. Police say a gun was located at the scene.

Investigators allege 21-year-old Victor Sanchez and two other suspects then took off in a Dodge Charger. With Sanchez at the wheel, the Charger slammed into two vehicles during the pursuit before hitting Reisse, police said.

"They ran through several red lights, including the one where they struck our victim," said Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

The suspects were taken into custody. Police say all are gang members on probation, with outstanding warrants for their arrest. Sanchez is recovering in the hospital from injuries suffered during the crash. The two other suspects are not yet being identified due to the ongoing investigation.

There's a difference between pursuing somebody wanted for parking tickets and pursuing cons immediately involved in a shooting.

All right played for a few more hours and had a ton of stupid fun. Pterandon (the flying guy) is really difficult to master but really strong if you are any good at it (much like lerking/skulking in NS). Hunting people at a raptor and pouncing on their stupid faces is a blast. Shame there isn't more content (better variety for humans, more interesting maps).

Well Orion needs to use any tactic possible to attempt and mask it being the biggest pile of shit in the history of the universe.

Anyways this game would be pretty entertaining (horrible flight mechanic not withstanding) if I could go an entire round without lagging out.

Or you could pay $3.74 for it at GMG...

Scratch that, with GMG20-LLASD-D8WBQ it is three dollars for GRID at GMG.

She play's Emma Stone's ARCH ENEMY in Easy A.

...

hey... I crush on Emma Stone, leave me alone!

If you're 25-30 then you likely know Bynes from All That, one of Nickelodeon's SNL-for-the-younger-crowd sketch comedy shows.

Ummmm judging by how blurry the cockpit is I'm gonna take a guess and say the camera itself is just a (simple) carry-over from GRID 1, but they didn't spend time on in-vehicle assets and so disabled the camera.

Well they are working AROUND electronics... or at least taking them from irate customers and putting them in nice little boxes to ship to *actual* Apple Geniuses(tm)... Yes, they are more than qualified to perform such complex tasks.

Well since global warming is a a big political issue

No, actually, it's a scientific issue, and you're obviously not a climatologist, so what you think or feel about it is completely irrelevant. Same goes for an economist at Forbes.

I did pick up Don't Starve on the weekend instead of Dust and now I'm sorta regretting it.

I really like DS because it is so quirky. The game itself is too formulaic. The first few romps through the game (once you have a general idea of what you need to do) are really engaging, more so than other games of its type, because of the constant, CONSTANT pressure to find more food.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?????

Probably because you're dismissing many of the greatest video games ever produced, like the afformentioned Mario and Castlevania (Symphony of the Night is in my own top 5), Metroid, Contra, Actraiser, Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, Double Dragon, Flashback, Golden Axe, Mega Man, Donkey Kong Country.

If I sat next to somebody while they played Super Metroid and they looked to me and said, "hey, I don't like this," I'd probably punch them in their stupid face. I would be fully cognizant of fact that everybody is free to like and dislike what they may, but any slight against something I hold in such high regard as Super Metroid would, completely beyond my control, result in a Hulk-like rage on my part.

The need to justify and defend one's opinion, and to "enlighten" the ignorant masses of their (obvious) poor taste, permeates throughout social society. Such a dissonance as we have here often creates a situation that simply does not compute in one or both parties, and persons will feel it Their Personal Mission to see the other side brought to reason that the universe may return to normalcy. From these humble beginnings arose the mighty Flame Wars, which as we all know birthed the lowly Troll race. Were I a studious man I might endeavor to study the rise of this phenomenon.

In case anyone is interested - 'The Last Remnant' is $2.50 on GMG today. It's the rarest of animals - a JRPG on the PC, and activates on Steam.
Is it worth it?

Ironically the PC version is far superior to the 360 one as it doesn't suffer from its brutal framerate problems, and you can assemble your squads of characters entirely from Hero units (on console you could only have one Hero and the rest of your squad had to be "red shirts"). It's got an interesting combat system and some super tough battles.

But still I don't really get how a PC community can get so excited about these side-scrollers.

Because we're not all elitist idiots, and some of us grew up playing shit like Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania.

Dust isn't any more a platformer than Half-Life is; combat is the focus. Think of it like a 2D Devil May Cry: hordes of baddies and you, the lightning-fast sword-wielding protagonist.

When, exactly, are you saying the #2 seller on steam is going to be under $15? Define "a few months".

If it follows the same course 2033 did, then it will.
