How they sold it as a talking point was with the public knowing, there would be things like ongoing jokes about "How does your piss water taste today", so with that, that is why they'd throw logic and money out the door.

Instead of saying, it is open air, contaminates get into it constantly, we refine whatever is in there before it ever comes out of your tap. That to me would be Hello? and end of story.

Sort of what I still feel the gov't should still do... just say anything you put in public on your computer is looked at as public record. Then we all know the score etc and can move on. Now it's going to be lie to us and still do the same thing.

We're talking about a city that won't fluoridate their water. Portland is full of crazy woo.

Why would they want to dump toxic shit into the water?

To make you a mindless drone of the government, unable to perceive your mind imprisonment. Uhoh

Fun game but talk about a lot of horseshit to get multiplayer off the ground.

Huh? This is supposed to get rid of the "horseshit to get multiplayer off the ground". Like NKD mentioned, the better option for anyone technically inclined is to run your own server, as it always is when privately operated dedicated servers are possible. But if you're 10 years old asking Mom and Dad to setup a Minecraft server so you can play with your friends this is the much easier option.

Is there a hardcore mode? You know like how it used to be with GTA games, you get arrested or killed by cops and its game over. (Well at least until you reload).

GTA games have had the same death mechanic in all iterations, including the 2D ones. You get arrested you appear outside the police station, you die you appear outside the hospital.

It used to be that being arrested made the cops take away all your weapons, but I don't think they do that anymore in GTA5? I never get arrested, so I'm actually not even sure.

If you want a hardcore mode, just restart after you die/get arrested. Dead is Dead is an extremely fun way to play some games. (There was a huge DiD community for X3, it was pretty cool to read some of their stories.)

Yeah I personally always reload after I die in GTA... You don't ever get anything special for having that stat screen at 0 deaths but I did it anyway... Except GTA 5 since they screwed me over. Sometimes dying on a mission would reload the mission and I'd still have 0 deaths stat, but other times it would add a death. I wasn't paying attention and got a few and didn't have a good point to load from.

Some people just have way too much goddamned time and money on their hands. And to think several million people a year die of hunger and hunger releated illness and millions more to poverty in general. The species is doomed.

Just think of all the good you could have done in the time you wasted on this post, you hypocrite. You could have signed a dozen online petitions, undoubtedly saving millions. You're a MONSTER!

Clearly someone needs to explain to you what "degrees" means.

/me ctrl-f degrees

Hmm, in that context yes, somebody should explain what you mean by "degrees".

It's all kind of pointless. These are the shows and episodes you can already buy on DVD. What I really want is the stuff that's currently on TV. Day-of, day-after, week-after... That'd all be fine with me but this is three years. Who cares.

I didn't say that. I simply reverse his/your way of thinking.

If you've fallen through the world does that mean it happens to everyone?

No!

Okay... then.

You're building a straw man argument. He never said it happened to everyone, just that it happened to him, multiple times, and therefore he didn't like the game. You countered that with a tone of "Well, it never happens to me, so it's an invalid argument."

It's a very, very, very, very, very, very, very often heard argument in PC gaming, and it's a terribly boring one. Be glad you didn't suffer from the issue. Other people are.

You're building a straw man argument. He never said it happened to no one, just that it didn't happen to him, multiple times, and he likes the game.

Buyer beware.

Kinda weird that someone would make a 6 minute video trashing a crap game and a shady developer. You could do that for the rest of your life and still not hit all of them.

It's impossible to capture the Oculus Rift experience on video.
So yeah, watching people use them is pretty lame.

Though watching old people use it is pretty entertaining.

As is watching people stand up on the roller coaster demo.

Do you guys wear parachute pants and dance to the song at the LAN-parties? That'd rule if you did.

Oh we definitely sing the song, no dancing or parachute pants unfortunately.

My two favorite genres.

Probably the reason I like Half-Life 1 and 2 so much. I feel like it combined FPS and Adventure properly. The FPS part is self explanatory but the way the story was slowly revealed as you explored, the silent protagonist, the puzzles (and in 2, physics puzzles), made it seem like the most Adventure-y of FPSs.

Hmm according to their Steam page "Tabletop Simulator is the only simulator where you can let your aggression out by flipping the table!" which of course would be a lie, as Japan has had an arcade game dedicated to table flipping since 2010. But I didn't see any table flipping going on in their video on Steam...

(ノ ゜Д゜)ノ ︵ ┻━┻

I bet that's Kirby flipping over a table.

Hah fun, I can see it in the edit box while quoting but not when you post it.

Also, Codename Eagle wasn't a BF mod. It was the spiritual predecessor to the BF series.

There was also a Code Name Eagle mod, which apparently Reagle worked on.
