If you really were one, you'd be keeping a log, and be able to answer immediately when someone asked you. See how easy that is? And how wrong?

Hah, bad example to pick. If he has records access he can do a pretty simple query to figure that out, and what he did on the calls, and at what times. And if you want to get crazy you could even know how many miles the car he took had on it and the equipment loaded into it. Who dispatched the call, the caller's name and address

In America people are accustomed to cheap, fast, and easy and that's how most of them want it. It never ceases to amaze me everytime I'm in the US how cheap junk/fast food is, and how available it is. We have McDs, Burger King, and a few other very minor chains. I go to the US and I'm seeing McDs, BK, Carls, Sonic, White Castle, Jack, KFC, Pizza Hut, and a slew more I'm forgetting as well as the regional chains.

Sorry to pick out just one thing, but this idea that Canada has less fast food and the implication that Canadians don't want things cheap, fast, and easy is pretty silly.

Canada has plenty of fast food chains. Yes it has fewer overall than the U.S., but not so few that it could be described as McD's, BK, and a few other very minor chains. Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Subway... a few other minors one yeah, like Carl's Jr. and Tim Hortons. And here's some more in this incomplete list.

It's regional just like the US. I can easily name 10 of them that aren't in Michigan, and yet I know their names despite never having eaten there.

Blue might as well wait it out at this point. Phones with bigger screens and better resolution don't really need specially formatted mobile sites anymore. I find myself more often than not searching for the Desktop link because I find mobile versions of sites to usually be very lacking or non-intuitive.

Eh I don't know, This site looks pretty awful on my phone which has a huge screen and a decent resolution. All of the zooming and etc required is almost comical, I basically just give up and look at other places. It's fine on a tablet but that's a whole different ballpark. I don't see phones getting 10" screens any time soon so I think its a worthwhile investment. As JD pointed out, its probably a better idea to update the site in general for readability on more devices. This sort of thing will start to affect page rank and ad revenue eventually. Blue has been updating the site by hand using Frontpage 2000 and the base its built on is like 20 years old. It's easier said than done but the site really needs an update in general, the actual layout can be preserved anyway.

Hmm my phone is nothing amazing, it's a 3 year old Droid Bionic with these display stats: 4.3-inch 960 540 px qHD at 256 ppi. I turn it sideways, double tap the text and everything is very nice and comfortable. I read Blues just about every day while I wait in line for lunch or waste time at work like waiting on something on my PC that can't be interrupted/multitasked.

edit: Here's a screenshot. I suppose I do have to nudge slightly over to read the quoted bits but it's not a big deal. If I manually adjusted the zoom it would be even better but this is just the quick and easy double tap. And you see my display stats, they're quite a bit under what's more commonly offered nowadays (or at least what I would get).

The website also doesn't look very good on a mobile, a large chunk of the internet reads that way so that would be worthy of some development time. I tried the mobile link but it redirects to some antiquated format which is just strange.

Oh shut up you fucking troll. Most everything I post is positive. I just don't put up with bullshit from trolls like you. And another jackass goes on the ignore list.

I've said it before... If Valve employees can work on whatever they want (and they can) you better believe there's a group who spend their time working on HL3.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against infiltration of groups like this as long as there isn't entrapment/provocation. In fact I'd say jdreyer is probably wrong, the groups supporting Bundy were likely infiltrated as well.

What I took issue with is your attempt to paint the Occupy movement as violent. That's why I pasted the quote from the article that shows these guys had to splinter from the Occupy movement because they didn't agree with its non-violence. As far as rapes and garbage go... yeah you're going to have that when you have a collection of mostly unorganized people living for months in an area that's not meant to be lived in. I'm not trying to excuse it but I don't think it's surprising. You'll see the same thing at musical festivals whether they're country fans, rockers, hippies, punks or whatever.

Save The Internet.

Glad someone in this country still has the time and cojones to protest. We've become such a docile nation of sheeple.

The whole Occupy thing was just like a year ago!

Yeah, those Occupy people were pretty good. And they were apparently such a threat that they had to be infiltrated by local police, FBI, NSA, etc. etc. I really don't understand why peaceful groups get the 3rd degree, and violence-oriented groups like Cliven Bundy's gang get off without so much as a second look.

Perhaps this was why: Five Charged in Plan to Bomb Ohio Bridge

If you weren't so blinded by the media lies and your own ideological nonsense you would have known about this and the other horrible garbage that went on at Occupy Wallstreet. I saw with my own two eyes the sick shit happening at the New Haven green and Zuccotti park. It got so bad they had to section off the parks to protect different groups from each other. Rapes were a nightly occurrence. They constantly intimidated the cops like spoiled babies. It's amazing there wasn't a massacre because what they wanted was to gain some kind of credibility they never had. In the end it was a big joke and you fell for it.

From the article you linked:
"Officials described an amateur effort by a group of self-described anarchists who felt the Occupy Wall Street movement wasn't violent enough."

Sorry for your family's loss, Blue.

Could Disney finally give us the remastered, unedited Star Wars we want?

Maybe they should hire Harmy! That guy is my hero right now...

Did you watch Star Wars: Turn to the Dark Side?
It condenses the 3 prequels into a single 2:45. It's pretty amazing how watchable and even better it is. The 1st one is almost gone entirely except for the Darth Maul fight and the Jedi council discussing taking Anakin on as an apprentice (don't even see the kid). You still have to go through most of Hayden and Natalie's terribly written/acted romancing but it has to be there to setup his turn. Seems like most of the third movie is there except for the pointless action at the beginning. Really through out the three most of the removed material is around the pointless Galactic Republic vs. Trade Federation stuff.

I managed to grab the middle, 800 meg one, but there was also a multi gig mov that I've yet to find anywhere (it got pulled first)...the 800 meg was just too low res for me. Been checking around, hoping someone uploads the mov this morning, but no luck, so far...

Let me know if you find it...I did find it pretty humorous how abrupt the ending is, avoiding that whole "nooooooo" incident completely.

Yeah I watched the low quality one. Made myself watch it on the tablet so it somehow didn't look as bad

Yes I certainly agree with Neocities' right to limit traffic to whomever they want. That's what NN would outlaw which if you think about it is wrong for the government to outlaw how Neocities' right to manage their traffic flow how they want to.

The "Internet" wasn't designed or ever intended to be 'neutral' but rather free for parties to connect *independent* networks. Independent means a network (or ISP) can manage their network as they see fit. The problem of course is if a network has a government-backed monopoly then of course that is the problem right there.

I doubt Net Neutrality won't change much besides embolden the status quo duopoly. The article makes NN seem like the people's savior but it's not. Typical socialist rhetoric that misses the mark in failing to identify the real cause: a widespread lack of competition.

Next time put the "Typical socialist rhetoric" line at the top of your screed, then I can ignore your post completely.

Pretty sure you mean "Typical conservative thetoric" there, bud. The socialists are the ones who think it should be free and available to everyone.

He meant the quote from the start of the last sentence. Put it at the top so the rest of it can more readily identified as deluded "libertarian" ranting. "If only everything was pure capitalism all of our problems would be solved... and unless we make it so there's no need to try any other solutions."

I say destroy the monopolies and enshrine net neutrality.

I once ordered a cable that was labeled as retail. It was really inexpensive so I had my doubts, and when it arrived it was OEM. I mentioned this in a review.

Shortly thereafter I got a phone call (wtf) from the seller pleading with me to change my review, proclaiming I was endangering his livelihood.

Ehm, so basically you complained for getting something of equal quality cheaper? Because that's what you did. There is no physical difference between OEM and RETAIL, but for the seller you mentioning this in amazon reviews brings up a huge legal issues and potentially blacklisting from Amazon store.

Also, it's pretty weird customer behavior to complain about that.. considering the seller saved you actual money.

Are you trollin? If it says retail package then it better be a retail package not some shit in a ziplock bag.

Why is he in so much trouble with the NBA for this and not for denying housing on racial grounds? That's much, much worse.

Why. Two parts all sponsorship was leaving, has left. But even bigger than that and that is plenty big is the players were organizing a walk out. That forced immediate action.

Why didn't the sponsors walk after the earlier case? Why didn't player protest earlier? I understand the NBA's position, they had to act now because the fact of the matter is that their brand was being hurt by the negative publicity - but why wasn't there as big an outcry earlier? Was it just that the reference to going to games brought the NBA into it?

Why was the NAACP giving him a civil rights award? The answer is clear: Money. People have been turning a blind eye on Sterling's bigotry because he donates to Democrats and the NAACP. Their LA chapter's president just resigned to avoid having to answer for such hypocrisy. Nowadays the mainstream and social media is so obsessed with racism nothing else matters.

I think him resigning was answering for the hypocrisy (or however that should be worded for you). It's not like they would hold some sort of tribunal or something. He either resigns or is fired in response to public pressure. It's the same thing happening with Sterling... he should also resign or be fired.

How they sold it as a talking point was with the public knowing, there would be things like ongoing jokes about "How does your piss water taste today", so with that, that is why they'd throw logic and money out the door.

Instead of saying, it is open air, contaminates get into it constantly, we refine whatever is in there before it ever comes out of your tap. That to me would be Hello? and end of story.

Sort of what I still feel the gov't should still do... just say anything you put in public on your computer is looked at as public record. Then we all know the score etc and can move on. Now it's going to be lie to us and still do the same thing.

We're talking about a city that won't fluoridate their water. Portland is full of crazy woo.

Why would they want to dump toxic shit into the water?

To make you a mindless drone of the government, unable to perceive your mind imprisonment. Uhoh
