there is no way that mud has come from the delaware river since the 1930-40's. the river was so filthy back then airmail pilots would follow the stench of the river in lousy weather and at night flying philly/nyc routes and the annual shad fish run didn't exist at that time. now it is the drinking water source for 6% of the nation and many industries. any way you slice it river and it tributaries have not been making the same mud for all these years.

a sunday bowl means more revenue for the host city imho. if it was on sat vacationers would be tempted to try and leave sunday night to go back to work on monday. if you are gonna miss work on monday you kinda say to yourself you may as well stretch out the vacation.

2 of the 3 gamestops in my town are doing the midnight thing and both walmarts are 24 hour. i figure i'll go into the walmarts at 11:30 and if they don't have it on the floor go to the gamestop. if i don't find it at midnight and i get pi$$ed i'm tempted to tell myself its a sign i should quit.

i went on a cruise and the only port was st. george for 2 1/2 days. the morning of final disembarkment i was hanging out near the courtesy desk and a passenger was in a fit. she used a debit card to rent a car for the 3 days and didn't realize[dumb] they slapped a $1500 security deposit on the card. she was broke and didn't have $600 cash or cc to pay for her ship expenses. with all her pleading and stories and finaly f-bombs nothing was changed and she was told she wasn't going to be allowed to leave the terminal untill she paid the $600 with cash or a credit card. the funniest [or saddiest] part to me was when the cruise people told her to just have friends or relatives wire money or give a cc number over the phone. her "but no one keeps credit balances on thier cc-you are a$$holes" answer to that i will never forget.
many americans don't realize this because they expect if they walk up to a employee and say they have a complaint the employee must bend over backward to please them and fix it. in many parts of the world if you have a cc and its declined the employee will tell you so and move on to the next customer. thats it. they aren't going to track down why it was declined or run it more then 1 or 2 more times. they don't care you have a 100,000 limit and it must be a mistake or you have a flight in 1 hour. a friends friend went on the trip of a lifetime and hadn't left the country in 50 years or spent more then a few dollars on her credit card a month. her card got flagged because of her spending from halfway around the world. if she had notified the cc company about the trip or anyone on the cruise helped her this mess may have been avoided. don't ever count on anyone helping you.

i shoulda tried the beta first. i can't believe as a 100% pve player i have to go into rvr areas to complete quests. let me flag myself no kill and hide quests from me if necessary. and unless things change after level 10 there are not any sneak into a camp solo and grab the treasure chest by using your .... at the exact split needed and run away stuff. the pve is mindnumbingly boring without underwater environment and it seems few dungeons and stuff. and with 2 characters tested some quests are still buggy. and the thin manual is a joke. pq's are a nice idea but many are already vacant of players and in the months to come will be useless to new players at low levels. anyway, if you don't like pvp stay away from this thing because it can't be avoided. the talents/abilities and fighting are cookie cutter and it seems the same 'rhythmn' is used while fighting critters because the abilities seem to be cloned.

i got in the beta midway thru it. all i seemed to do is turn in circles waiting for my guns to reload every 20 seconds. it would take 10 boring minutes to sink the 4 ships and end the quest. since i'm a pve only player cuz i'm a clutz i knew i wasn't gonna buy. the land battles were a joke. at least with any fantasy mmorpg its click fireball, mind freeze, shout hoo woo, recharge, fireball till dead waiting to level up and try a new skill. you killed the critter in 30 seconds and moved on exploring and grinding. a mmorpg is only a pull the slot machine handle and see the results addiction using items on the dead critter instead on coins in the bin to me.

wasn't 580k the magic number to get to? if you had that you could get 99% of games to run without jumping thru hoops. master of orion was the ball buster for me. only when i got to 588k did it run but it was a sweet victory. probably the cheap cyrix cpu was the real choking point and i'll never forget the slow down to a stutter intro movie. later i overclocked the system by taking off the side panel and pointing one of those 3 foot square box fans at it. star trek judgement rites was another crazy game. i seem to remember it needed 80 megs to install and i had a 105 meg hard drive[avg or good size at that time iirc] and the damn box info specs didn't say how many megs were needed.

i got it when it first came out and played for 3 months or so and got a couple characters to the L20-30's. i started again last month and have one at L47 but i forgot the cap is 50. you saved me $15. the subscription ends tomorrow and theres no way i'm renewing. funny thing is i was kinda wondering where the L50-60's were and why i hadn't run into them yet.

what new abilities do you get to choose from when you level up? after awhile don't you just choose 10% faster sails or a stronger hull? boring. i want to grind in my fantasy mmog to get fireball so i can go lay a trap, shoot rockarrow,fireball,freeze,gut... only one more level for my fireball ability. and once i get that i'm looking ahead to getting stinky skunk bomb range effect. experimenting with all the combo possibilities as you level to next ability i just don't see happening in potbs. and i am more pve comfortable. i don't imagine very many potbs players having bitter arguments over wheiter its better to go with faster sails or stronger hull or better rudder on a particular ship or having a very different game experience when trying all 3. and i don't imagine there being to many roles like a healer class, tank, puller etc.. "5 ships of the line looking for defensive shallow draft ship to do the 6 man...no fast scouts wanted"

35 years ago my uncle tried to explain this to me as 'serpent steals eggs'. he fought in ww2 at the age of 11 in 1940 and walked from yugoslavia to italy after the war looking for work. he came to america via the korean war. just like today in iraq if you join the us military during expansionism [whoops i mean police action in korea or home defense in 2007] its a fast track to citizenship.
