I've never understood comments like this in relation to publishers. Why boycott every game a publisher releases? You might not like one of their products, but it hardly seems fair to the people who actually make the games.
Because the Publisher pushed the product to market in its current condition, regardless of if the game was done. Now, blame devs for slow workflow, but its the publisher who demanded the release.

Class? The whole game is gimp. Only masochistic cultist boys play the damn game anyway.
Ooo look, jiggly boobies! Ooo look, girls underwear! Ooo look, a dark elf male warrior who's skinnier than Jim Carey and has a 'tough man' expression. So macho!

EQ2 has self shadows and is 'out now'. The graphics in the game can't even be turned up all the way on any system available right now. lol.
I'm waiting for someone to make another game with the Cry Engine, it puts Doom3 down and was released before it. (Didn't help that Doom3 was made for kids).

It's time limited probably due to having only a few art items in use. You wouldn't be able to upgrade to new engines/buses/trucks for example, so rather than change code to not show them, limit the time so there's now way you can get to 1950 and get the streamlined steam engines...

Also, keep in mind that the game isn't just "Designed by" Chris Sawyer, he IS the game designer. He out-sources only a handful of things to others, but he does the design, coding, production, art, etc.
He's not just a stiff standing around going 'damn i'm good' like some Texas guys do...

I just hope there is an option to be right-handed. All of the screenshots the player character is left handed! Egads!
That would probably throw me off balance in my chair heh.

I think a prime example of how "Books are always better" is wrong:
The Last of the Mohicans. Horrible horrible book. Don't breathe on the thing it was so bad.
The movie however, was not bad.

Uh, Tehol, Lord British hasn't worked at Origin or EA for a few years now.
Buy a clue.
And Guild Wars looks like ass. Its a bad Dungeon Siege engine rip. Pretty crappy gameplay as well. Guess simpletons like it.

I can only assume they (-suits-) see a following for a sequel, then just ASSUME that "hey, if we cancel that they'll play the first one instead!"
I just can't believe they did this a second time. You know, the UXO team had to get the green-light to start the project from someone at EA. Right?

I'd love to hear what you classify as a Normal Person if $15 every 4 weeks is expensive.
You live on roman noodles and mac&cheese?
Back here in the real world, having a full-time job (re: Not a highschooler or college failure), $15 is pocket-change, even for a yearly income of $25,000. I make about $31,000.
One night at the movies with my Wife is more than $15, lasts for only 2 hours, and is something you'd occassionaly refer to as a conversation piece. At least with an Online game, you 'are' the game, and not just watching. Well, some of the online games you do more than watch, heh. (Lineage 2, best electronic strip show of the year award).
There are alot more 'bad' movies out there that you'll waste money on seeing than there are 'bad' online games.
Morbidly Obese MMORPG Fan With Acne and Body Odor: That's chump change. I spend twice that on McDonalds cheeseburgers every day. FART! Haha, I just farted! Where are my Doritos? - That has nothing to do with MMORPG. That's a generic computer user stereotype, so you just pwned yourself.

You kids do realize that you are paying the $40 for the box, the first month is "Free", right? This monthly fee doesn't kick-in for 30days.
So, how many of those offline games do you actually play in a large group with after 30 days? Only a small few. UT, maybe CS for those llama's, and Quake # for those that are colorblind.
Its still a good deal. Far Cry didn't last 30 days as far as gameplay. Multiplayer is still a mixed bag, as its 'been there done that' scenario.
$15 sounds like a lot up front, but you're paying for 4 weeks of entertainment. Thats pretty cheap.

Um, this press release isn't about AC2. WTF?
You know, before AC2 there was a game that was just called Asherons Call.
--Depending on how the screenshots look (once they take some), count 2 more people that will probably go back.

You can drop anything on your person when killed. The % is higher for your loose inventory crap, but anything can be removed by the roll of the dice.
And for those slower than usual, the majority of complaints to the game are based on the level treadmill, not PvP. It's not "fun" to level grind, hence the game isn't really that fun unless you are a powergamer, which level-based games are built for.

"Also, I don't think PvP griefing will be that big a deal; a lot of it going on now is because it's the end of a beta, so people who won't be playing are being their usually nice selves, but I know that on the server I'm on, anytime I see anyone with a red name there's typically 3 or 4 people chasing them to kill them... "
That is until after the first month, when all the above mentioned 'kiddies' get bored and start PK'n newbs just for 'fun'.
Griefing and PVP are two different things, unfortunately you can't have one without the other.

Objective to poor -gameplay-?
Sure, it has a fancy engine, but that doesn't compensate for total lack of mental power needed to play. Can't advance to areas of the map until EVERY monster is dead, entire level design is 'cow herding' through a single path. Water kills you... Monsters just 'spawn' when you walk past a certain point. All of this 'features' are so tired, old and for simpletons its not even funny.
Crytech could have done this to Far Cry as well you know. Just spend all the time in the engine tech and forget about making a game. Painkiller is Wolfenstein with 3d models. While Wolf was a good game for its time, its no compliment to be in the same mindless category now.
So yes, those that dig this game, and probably Serious Sam, are just simpletons. People need to aim higher with their brain power and stop drooling over crap just because it looks pretty. Hell, even in Wolf you didn't have to kill everyone to advance to a new area.

There aren't many positive points in Lineage to post ABOUT. So what if it isn't for Carebears, the game is boring regardless. It takes all of the EQ level antics and makes them worse. Less character diversity (clone wars?) less equipment, just plain dull variety.
Sure, all that praise it play as Dark Elves, as the female darkie has gotten the most attention when it comes to animating...
Bad game. The PVP wouldn't be that bad if the actual leveling part wasn't horrible.
CoH save us!
