I found this game to be quite enjoyable, but I cannot deny that it has its share of bugs. The game feels quite unpolished in that regard, and also does not yield the performance I expect...especially from a Source-engine title. Those who choose to deny that it has a lot of bugs - you're either really lucky, or have really low standards. I read through many of the replies and, trust me, I know how to maintain a system (both as a computer engineer as well as an employee of ATI), and have even spoken with several programmers for Troika...this game simply is flawed. It is still an excellent play, but I am capable of seeing weaknesses when they are obvious.

Age of Empires and (especially) Age of Kings were two of the best RTS titles ever made. Anyone who compares the latter to Age of Myth needs to get themselves checked out mentally. AoK had a score of playable civiliations, with unique architecture, unique units and technology, and unique playing styles...years ahead of its time. I still play it. AoM had only three that seemed like more only because they gave you frivolous options, and most games were ridiculously quick and boring. It went into the gaming box after a few days.
And the Age series can't be compared to the Total War or Myth series in any fashion.

The "MSI’s K8N Neo 2 Falsifies its Multipliers" article author needs to realize that the multiplier issue is very well-known among A64 users, lol. It only uses full integer value multipliers. The "cheat" that he reports is actually the board just doing the work for you.

The Doom 3 bundle is store-specific, not ATI-specific. And currently it is not applicable in NA or Europe, and may never be.
As for the benchmarks, no one should be surprised. Doom 3 is NVIDIA-optimized and also OGL-based (an area in which ATI falters, although the drivers are improving). Besides that, NVIDIA also uses partial-precision (Carmack uses FP16 whenever possible). I personally don't think you can go wrong with going to either side, this round.

Simple Consideration |

Regardless of your opinion on the 'cheating' or on Futuremark's post-manipulations, the simple fact is that Nvidia outright lied. Re-read the second paragraph in yellow. The rep clearly states that Nvidia is not part of Futuremark's beta program. This is true. However, Nvidia WAS part of the program when 3DMark03 was released! Therefore they DID have a chance to work on writing the shaders. In fact, the whole reason they left the program in the first place was because their new card was getting poor scores on the benchmark. They then turned around and pretty much canned that card, and now brought out a new one and are claiming foul play from Futuremark. To set the record straight, the only entity that's playing games is Nvidia.
