| As far as the game goes, it may be an irrational prejudice but I don't think I can stand to play any more 2d sidescrollers/platformers (even ones with cute shifting 3d-ish perspectives like 'FEZ'). I never was all that enamored with them to begin with, but now the glut of them flooding the market with the rise of the indie (with more coming every other day it seems) I can barely stand the sight of them. Then again, I said that before I played Terraria, and that game had a special something that kept me playing for dozens of hours. Maybe FEZ can do it again, but I am thinking Terraria was just an anomaly. |

| Lawyers love class action lawsuits - they get rich off them while the claimants get shit. Therefore I will NEVER be a part of one. As far as this lawsuit goes, it seems pretty stupid to me. Buyer beware and all that. |

| Phil Fish is a fucking douchebag asshole who I wouldn't piss on after a case of beer if he were burning, but I would still buy FEZ if it interested me in the slightest because I am a gamer. Sadly, it doesn't. It looks like crap. Of course, looks aren't everything, but it doesn't sound all that exciting either. Maybe I am missing something? |

Super excited to be getting Riptide for my Birthday tomorrow! LOVED the first one. If the biggest complaint about Riptide is that it is "more of the same", then sign me up! |

| I read it, so you can stow your condescending attitude. The lion broke the girl's neck and thus it would have been laying at a very unnatural angle. She was very obviously dead. Cops just like to shoot things; there's no ramifications when it's only animals. |

| I remember some time ago how exciting it used to be when E3 was right around the corner - what awesome games were going to be shown? What trailers would blow us away. What highly anticipated games would finally be playable? Who would have the best booth (and booth babes, natch)? It may be all but dead now, but there was a time when few things brought a gamer more excitement than seeing what came out of E3. Fun times. |

| I feel terrible for the girl she made a critical mistake but still it's a tragedy. But it pisses me off that law enforcement is so gung-ho to kill animals every chance they get. There was no reason this animal needed to die. |

| So was he murdered, did he commit suicide, or was it a REALLY strange coincidence? If it's one the first two then yeah, Reddit bears some responsibility here, but not more than them the self-appointed "expert detectives" who use the site. |

Geez, most of you guys are so negative. Again, when a game is totally redesigned after being in development for years...that's not a good sign.
Not necessarily - look at how Duke Nukem Forever turned out! Oh wait... you hated that one. Never mind! |

| Really, I think they did fine with the direction of Thief 3. A game like that with better graphics, a bigger city, and not broken up into separate levels every few yards to accommodate crappy console limitations would go over very well I think. Give me the choice between 1st and third person again, too. |

I have to admit that for how down on this concept I was when it was first revealed, I give this rebranding top marks across the board. I like the live action trailer, I like the setting and atmosphere, I like the move to 3rd-person... hell, I even like how they moved the "XCOM" to after the hyphen indicating this is its own game with only a loose attachment to XCOM. To me that's perfect.
This game could still end up being an epic disaster but considering how I thought this project was all but dead and a lost cause, this new reveal has basically done the impossible: it has gotten me interested in this game for the first time. That makes it a big win in my book. Now to keep it going they really need to release some gameplay shots or trailers fast, especially since the release date is relatively close.

That Resident Evil trailer is fantastic. Given the metacritic score for the actual game is in the 40's, I'm guessing the actual game is not so fantastic. |

You can't hate one company for being monopolistic, while praising or being ok with Valve doing the same thing pretty much. If you really think people only hate on EA because they are being 'monopolistic' then you have your head in the clouds... or up somewhere a little closer and smellier.
Your continued attempts to draw parallels between how Steam and EA do business and treat their customers when in truth there is no comparison at all serves to prove you are either an EA Fanboy or a Valve hater - and in either case, easily ignored. |

how can anyone take you people seriously when you voted for Guy C?
if anyone can explain that to me, you'll have my attention, but until that's settled, you can't take all the hate seriously. seriously! We aren't on a Green/Environmentalist website or a economics watchdog website; we are on a videogames website. I am not going to post how much I hate BP in a bluesnews thread about EA, since it isn't remotely relative. EA is the only one of the three examples you mentioned that have had a detrimental effect on the hobby I come here to discuss. And truthfully, I am way more passionate about gaming than I am worrying about the environment or sticking it to the evil rich. While some of the the hate can be over the top, in general EA deserves every bit of loathing and derision they get here and other websites like it. They earned every ounce. |
