In case anyone doesn't have SPAZ, I'd highly recommend it, even if you don't normally like space games. It is a bit rough around the edges being a low budget indie but it is ridiculously addictive and fun nonetheless.
I hope to see a sequel with more depth soon from these guys. |

| Greenmangaming seems like it is starting to beat Steam at its own game. All of the latest full-priced blockbusters that I have bought in the last few weeks have been through Gmg. It sure is an awesome time to be a gamer (as long as you like digital downloads). |

| About "Mark of the Ninja": Is it good enough for someone who otherwise dislikes 2D sidescrollers but who likes stealth games to enjoy? It is from the same people who made Shank, which I enjoyed for its art and style, so this may be one I'll enjoy as well. |

| I don't get his complaint at all. In-game advertising is a cynical money grab and annoying to those who already paid for the game (obviously exempting F2P games). Having characters, planets, or other things named after the largest donors (without whom the game very likely would have never been made) isn't the same at all. I don't get his reference to socialism at all either. |

Mildly regret not grabbing it, but I still have xmas gifts to get people. Maybe next year.
Missed it, but oh well. 100 more dollars in my pocket to blow on the Steam Xmas sale.
Creston I fixed that for you Creston. You're welcome. |

Hey Prez! Are we doing Play it Forward again this year? I've got a friend who's for DX:HR on his list ($5 today) and might invite him. I was planning on something like it, though it was actually Krovven's idea but he kind of hates me now.

Prez you have some pull with Valve (Customer of the Decade right?), STOP THE INSANITY! Indeed, as Gabe Newell's duly appointed assistant pedicurist ("Customer of the Decade" rewards aren't all they are cracked up to be, let me tell you!) I occassionally am asked for my opinion. Unfortunately I freeze up and always say "Ummm... uhh...More sales. Yeah. That's the ticket!" So yes, I am to blame. Sorry.
And thanks for the mention on Krater there Cutter. I have been on the fence about that one for a while but I am going to pick it up. The official reviews range from mixed to negative yet the user reviews are consistently much higher from what I have seen. |

| Alternatively one could try Gamefly or Impulse; they had Dishonored for $30 as well last I checked. It's a Steamworks game anyway so it doesn't really matter where you get it from. Unless of course you are just loath to give money to Gamestop, which is understandable. |

Buying it otherwise.
So even if it is available via other means if it ends up on Steam you'll not buy it? Brilliant. Clearly we are dealing with a towering intellect here. Or, what nin said. |

| Totally random thought but I just watched the replay of Mark Sanchez's faceplant into his lineman's ass, and I have to say that was one of the funniest things I've seen all season. How the hell did Sanchez get the starting job? And for that matter, how is Ryan still the coach? |

nin wrote on Nov 23, 2012, 12:26: Steam or go home. I don't need Yet Another Download Client. +1 Same here. It's not so much the download client (though Steam's is about as good as it gets which renders others kind of pointless for me); I just like auto-patching, easy and convenient archiving, cloud saves, and even social features that come with Steam. It may seem weird to worry about social features in a singleplayer game, but I like seeing who is playing what when, and for how long. Steam has actually made singleplayer a social thing ; I have traded stories, gotten tips for being better, and gotten help when I am stuck through Steam's social features in more than one singleplayer game. I have even purchased a few games I otherwise wouldn't have tried (and have gotten others interested in games that I play) simply by seeing what my Steam friends spend time playing.
Considering that Beamdog ended up putting MDK 2 HD Steam I think it's likely that BG HD will get there too. By then we'll know if it's worth getting. |

The Half Elf wrote on Nov 23, 2012, 11:23: Ended up picking up Dishonored for 12.50 from GMG (had a 10 dollar credit). I just bought Dishonored for $12.50 too. I was lucky enough to have an additional $10 credit from when I bought X-COM, but it can still be had for $22.50 for all. Great deal. Honestly, I think I am actually starting to run out of games to buy on Steam. I think I pretty much have everything I want. Of course, when Metro, Bioshock Infinite and CoH 2 ship I'll have something to get on the Steam Summer 2013 sale.

I would think that after so many games with so little changing between iterations that one would know basically what to expect when buying a Call of Duty game. This would typically preclude a scenario where someone buys the game at full price and ends up hating it. Was this your first Call of Duty game? Just curious. |

| Glad to see the Walking Dead story arc made it to completion. I am thinking of picking it up either during the Steam autumn sale or Xmas sale. Since I've only watched (and mostly enjoyed) the first season of the show on TV, I am wondering if the game gives spoliers for the show or vice versa? Or are they completely separate stories? |

| Greenmangaming has stopped working for me. I tried buying Mass Effect 3 four different times with 4 different cards and I keep getting an error saying the transaction could not be completed. Too bad - with my 10 dollar credit and 20% off coupon it would only be $2.80 |

How did we go from Britain's oppressive anti-free speech law to greenhouse gases? Hellbinder makes like one post every six months yet he can still with one insane, rambling post completely hijack a thread. Truly a master troll at work. I am in the presence of greatness. |
