| As an addendum I will say that having it on Steam makes it a no-brainer for me as long it is good. I just don't think Steam exclusivity for the complete game is a fair move to those who pledged money before knowing this. |

| Personally I love Steam (and despite what some rather, um... imaginative posters are claiming it is far and away the best digital download platform by a country mile - there's not even a close second), but I have to admit this move is a rather ill-advised "bait-and-switch" at this late stage. If Steam was going to be the primary platform for the complete game, that information should have been made known prior to asking for a single cent of backers' money. Even though lots of gamers use and love Steam, many other gamers would rather not use it at all, and to go this route only after the funding was secured from backers - many of whom undoubtedly want nothing to do with Steam - seems a little slimy. |

Creston It deserves to die. It has been abhorrently mismanaged. Couple that with the absolutely obscene limitations it is saddled with because of archaic and backward-looking contracts. Such a shame - it could have been incredibly useful. |

| I've always had a sneaking suspicion that America's Army is actually a real-life "Last Starfighter"-esque test disguised as a videogame, and that the board leaders are whisked away under the cover of darkness by government agents in nondescript black sedans. |

| That was an incredibly awesome gesture letting the sick boy take a play from scrimmage to the end zone. That would have been a dream come true for me too as a boy. Very very cool. |

| These are the two best spy games ever made (and two of the best games ever made in their own right), so it's a fucking travesty that no one even knows who owns the damn property. Given that both games were critical successes but financial duds sadly makes a comeback unlikely, but c'mon publishers, have enough respect for gaming history to at least give enough of a shit to figure that much out so the two seminal classic games can be released on GOG for chrissake. |

| I adored the theme of this game (it was amazing how you could feel the relationship building between the scientist and the alien without a word being spoken), but remembering how hard it was for me to finish back when it was brand new, I think replaying it now the difficulty would make me cry. |

I agree that the state government was completely moronic in how they threw money at Schilling and 38 Studios without a single clue about the business (or at the leastthe ability to recognize that Schilling's had no track record whatsoever in the business) but unfortunately it's the taxpayers' money, and they don't deserve to be out that money because their politicians are morons. |

Yeah, being worried that a corporation can shut down a server on a whim and thus prevent you from ever playing the game you paid for on your console is totally people just being overly dramatic. |

How can it be called "TOMB Raider" if by the author's own admission there are "very few traditional tombs" in the game? The puzzles and the exploration were the best thing about the Tomb Raider series; the combat has always been dreadful and by far the worst aspect of every game. So how am I supposed to feel about a "Tomb Raider" game that is combat-focused? Again I ask, how is that "Tomb Raider"?
To use the author's goofy comparison, it's the same as if the Chris Nolan Batman remake turned Batman into an flighty, disinterested old man who bumbled about solving crimes through keen eyes and deduction, Sherlock Holmes style... and that's all he did for the whole movie.
While it is definitely a good game in its own right, the new Tomb Raider game ignores the basic theme of what made Tomb Raider "Tomb Raider". I'll never understand the need to "re-imagine" the most iconic franchises in gaming to the extent that they are virtually unrecognizable to older fans. |

Boycotting good games because they are made by studios that also made crap games is dumb imo. How about just boycotting the bad ones? Does Aliens sucking somehow make Borderlands less awesome?
Hell, I had a pretty serious hate-on for Blizzard for a long time after the major screw-up that was Diablo 3, but if the next Starcraft comes out and is great (with a goddamn OFFLINE mode!) I am still getting it. |
