The full title is "Pikmin 2 launches across Europe, exclusively to Nintendo GameCube on 8th October 2004". You had me excited there for a minute, but alas the game isn't due for a while.

First if you buy a bottle of Dom with a flat cork in it, you're an idiot and you've been ripped off. Champagne regardless of brand doesn't have a cork in it that you need a corkscrew to extract. Cork or plastic, mushroom corks push out not pull out. A 13 year old might just assume that every wine bottle should be opened with a cork screw.

Re: PCI Express? |

The next gen (and rebadged current gen) will be native AGP cards with a PCI express bridge chip slapped on. So the advantages of having PCI express will be null and void. Not true. The PCI Express versions are running at a much higher effective AGP clock rate. So it *will* take advantage of the extra bandwidth. How much is another question. If it's anything like the switch from AGP 4x to 8x then it won't be a lot.

I can't remember though, what was the nickname that George wanted? Do you mean the porn name he wanted? Buck Naked?

The Return of the King currently has 103 positive and only 3 negative reviews (not too shabby). Have you read the negative reviews? Frickin' whiners if you ask me. They probably wrote bad reviews just so more people would visit the site. Hey, it worked on me.
Edit: Here's a short summary of some of the gripes:
1. There are three movies rather than one. 2. There's no recap of the first two films at the beginning. 3. Other racial roles are relegated to villains. 4. Females don't have much of a role. (I wonder what the reviewer thought of Master & Commander since that has no women at all) 5. The last 20 minutes feel like an hour because Peter Jackson "didn't wish to let his saga go". 6. People that like this movie should really like the earlier epics such as Lawrence of Arabia and The Godfather. 7. Good guys have pointy ears while bad guys have pointy teeth. 8. Frodo is "wan and floppy, as if in need of smelling salts" (Did he even pay attention to the story?) 9. The many times heroes appear to die throughout the films, only to turn up later. (No mention of Boromir)

Xevious |

Not to change topics or anything (but I will). That Xevious version is a bit...strange. First off there are way too many flying enemies at the beginning. Maybe it gets that bad later on, but I've never seen that many starting out.
Worse, the ground targets stop appearing after you hit the next set of "trees". No tanks. No turrets. I went as far as the part where the boss shows up and even he wasn't there.
Makes for a pretty boring game to just shoot those flying things over and over.

Dark City. Now there's a movie in dire need of a special edition. The original DVD is how many years old now? At least it has commentaries.

You don't have to close <P> tags, although current style says you should. Yeah, I know. However, the way the text is arranged in the balloons leads me to believe that he meant to close the paragraph tag, rather than start a new one. He should have put the <P> at the start of panel 3 to assuage my own pickiness

Unfortunately the guy was selling counterfeit material and that is direct violation of eBay, disclaimer/ignorance or not. Legally, he is in the wrong. True, but he did say that he didn't know the authenticity of the things. Does that mean if I sell my beanies (of which I have like 3 - all gifts) I have to go to an authenticator first? Seems rather silly to me. What happened to buyer beware?
Now if he knowingly sold fakes then I can see someone getting upset.
I can see the lady's argument, but I have very little respect for overly-litigious people.

Oops, isn't that supposed to be a </P> in the second panel?
Also, I'm siding with the guy that sold the beanies. He clearly stated that he didn't know or care about the authenticity of the animals. I agree with his statement "It is a stuffed animal, get over it!"
Too bad someone didn't agree.

I have Pogo Products RipFlash PRO-2
http://www.pogoproducts.com/ripflash_pro2.html
It saves things in MP3, but you can choose a high enough bit rate to make effectively uncompressed. There's a built in mic that's surprisingly good. You can also connect a powered mic to the line-in. It has 256MB of built in (non-expandable) memory and a built in battery. All that makes it one small device. I like it.
