according to a post on GSC forums by a GSC moderator, MP is lan only.

"Unfortunatelly, the publisher inserted the wrong manual. The MP mode supports up to 32 players and works via LAN only. We are currently bringing this issue up with the publisher . I am not sure if there will be a MP patch."

EvilGoof & Enahs, thanks for the "it sucks ass" justification...
I have to say I'm disappointed to hear how bad the demo is. I was hoping for something the likes of ssam. Especially after hearing somewhere that it was supposed to offer coop.
bah... will the fps dry spell ever end...

Saying "it's crap" doesn't really say much. Can anyone comment on what's bad about the demo, or anything slightly more descriptive than "it's crap" for those of us stuck in our cubicles?

Wasn't the first Doom released in early December 1993? I know they (id) are firm about an '04 release, but a release on the 10 year anniversary would be classic.
Btw I consider myself to have a life, yet I lurk here, and even post occasionally. Go figure...
