ShockwaveRider...who said that? I love it!

15. Babies names Nov 14, 2003, 13:04 Ihya

Calling a baby Del Monte! God surely created idiots to amuse the rest of the world!

There are even two little boys, one in Michigan and one in Texas, called ESPN after the sports channel.

Oh stop, you're killing me!

Reminds me of a commentator I once saw called Willy Stroker (now Willy means cock in in the UK)! What are the parents thinking? Do they seriously want thier child to have a miserable childhood and hate them forever?

Imagine the mind that says 'Yes, Del Monte... Sounds foreign and... mysterious... I like it!'

Oh honestly, it's going to be in the extended special edition so what's all the worry with those 6000 petition signers? They need to keep film times down so they can put as many showings on at the cinema as possible, and if it's too long some people will shy away from seing it.

If it wasn't in the extended edition I'd be sympathetic. I can understand Dracula's erm, Lee's annoyance but it really is small potatoes for everyone else.

News Comments > Consolidation - New Nintendo Console
3. Re: Goin' the way of Sega Nov 13, 2003, 12:13 Ihya

Well I read yesterday that gamecube and x box sales are neck and neck, so they are not the 'loser' of this round to my mind, each selling 10 million units a piece. Okay Nintendo are having a tough financial time of it atm, but it's no secret the X-box has been losing Microsoft money for a while (as up to six months ago as I recall- maybe it is doing better of late)? That and Sony being in financial trouble and shedding thousands of jobs worldwide means all three of the console makers are having a rough ride.

I agree with you Creston that the titles seem to be letting it down, although maybe ours is a western opinion-there are loads of Japanese people who love the cube and wouldn't change a thing.

People say the industry cannot support 3 consoles well, I don't know if this is true or applicable still in this day and age but if I was a betting man I'd say it would be Nintendo that are playing the dangerous game at the moment - an industry without Nintendo would seem sad even though I am not their No 1 fan as such. But with alleged very deep pockets to dip into it'll be interesting to see what happens however, and whilst all three fight over our attention and wallets, it's a great time for gaming...

48. Hmm Nov 8, 2003, 11:43 Ihya

I hate moaning Blue but the noisy ads are starting to grate on my nerves. The true crime one has shot at me more times than i'd care to mention.

I know I could run software to stop popups in general, but I really don't mind quiet popups as it's how people make their money off sites.

hey Bronco,

playing with kids (or adults even), the "Super Monkey Ball" series is excellent. It can also be found for *very* cheap.

Listen to the man, he's right. Great game. The price the cube is now, it is not such a large financial leap for what you are getting. This price war limbo dancing competition between the X box and the cube is great for gamers

Anyhow, I thought the X-box wasn't that far ahead in sales globally than the cube... Death nell? I doubt it.

19. Re: What a crappy way to end the serie Nov 6, 2003, 14:12 Ihya

*In the voice of the Comic Book store nerd from the Simpsons*

And now I shall discuss the latest Matrix movie. Unfortunately, I was not the first to post my opinion as I had hoped as I was on Ebay buying a near mint copy of Amazing Spiderman No 250, alas with the vacuum sealed Mylar bag opened. The stupidity of some people astounds me.

I'm surprised at the mixed opinions here; of people that prefer Reloaded to Revolutions. The acting and dialogue is of course the same and a constant; what seperates them is the action. The fight scene in the S&M club was superb, if not a little short. The fight in the dock is CGI doing what CGI does best, (what made the directors think they could use CGI in the Reloaded fight between Neo and Smith and make it work was beyond me), Boy was I impressed with the dock fight. You either loved that scene or you don't like sci-fi action flicks. And it went on for long enough!

The final fight? Not so hot, it felt like a repeat of the Reloaded fight, been there, done that.

Someone was annoyed at the kid and the obviousness that he'd have his cheesy moment of glory. C'mon, he 'aint Jake Loyd! He's a minor player, not that irritating either. On the whole none of the many cliches that made up this film jarred me at all really, (and what film these days isn't cliche by numbers, even little ones).

The ending? Maybe I was never enough a diehard fan of these films to mind particularly Neo's and Trinity's death, but I can sympathise with those who love these films at the rather flat ending. Does this mean another film? Can someone tell me?

I didn't think i would live to see a avp movie made. The end is near my friends

Were it not that the director for AvP, has the movie 'Mortal Kombat' on his C.V. I'd share your enthusiasm

That knob chopping incident is ridiculous-the judge is almost endorsing the "It's okay to lop off the 'old fella' off your man" option with such a weak sentence! Hope it doesn't catch on. Yikes!

Speaking of simpsons...anyone else looking forward to Simpsons Hit & Run....it looks like it might be pretty damn fun, and funny! Here is hoping

It's a laugh so far, some of the missions are almost impossible however which is frustrating. Could do with a few more out of the car missions. The Simpsons humour brand is pretty solid throughout.

I feel like the Simpsons jumped the shark a long, long time ago. If only they had kept Futurama around...

Don't get me started on the jerks cancelling Futurama...

I know nothing about these stuffed Beanie Babies. I offer no proof of anything. It is a stuffed animal, get over it! I don't think my ex-wife was in the Black Market Beanie Trade..but then again, I didn't know she was having an affair either! Thus no gauruntees!

lol

65. Re: 2 kinds of drivers Oct 31, 2003, 06:57 Ihya

I've got a friend that habitually crashes his car, he did a classic 'A team' spinning the car through the air and crawled out of the wreck along the inside roof and through the back window of the overturned car, wrote off another at a petrol station doing 10 mph (go figure), and crashed another doing about 60 whilst I was in it taking a bend too fast. The phrase 'pissing your pants,' is one not to be used lightly but in this case is appropriate.

He's much improved these days however, (pain, crippling insurance costs and points on your licence are a good teacher! :))

I am a below average driver which is why I know my limits and don't act reckless.

On the subject of bad driving I just failed my driving theory test 2 hours ago There's £20 completely wasted.

When people make mistakes the annoying tactic some take is to shout at others who point it out, taking the heat of themselves. If it takes you off guard they can steal the initative and even leave the argument feeling vindicated that they were the aggrieved party. You just have to knock them down quickly I guess by stating thier blunder before they can start ranting and take no shit off them. It is annoying; people with little humility I suppose.

The discomfort and misery of flu is always halved when you know and can actually curse the name of the person who passed it on to you.

Wesley Crusher for President? Someone told me he mutated into a tree or something then disappeared into another universe.

62. Re: Halloween Dog Oct 22, 2003, 10:54 Ihya

There is a difference between dressing your dog up once a year for a laugh and to enter the spirit of the occasion, or to perhaps enter a competition, and then the notion that dogs need a wardrobe of ridiculous outfits, that doggy sweaters look great and 'doesn't poochy look sweet dressed in a tutu'. If Blue was on about the latter then I'd be with you guys in keeping him talking as reservations were made at the funny farm.

But that isn't the case at all. This has been a funny Ootb with all the links to dog owners who should be getting thier medication increased, as well as a few inventive and good natured pot shots at Blue but I feel poor old Blue is being put in the wrong camp unfairly.

Still, the mob have spoken, lol! And it looks like they brought pitchforks and torches too! Run man, run!

Gold stars all round then! The bear is indeed white as it starts at the north pole, which is the only place it can go south 20 miles, east 20 miles then north 20 miles and end up where it started.
